Barca just won a treble....I'm annoyed by this I must admit but they are clearly the best team in the world right now and they didn't become that by buying all the most expensive players they could buy.
It's kinda boring because there's not that much difference between the teams from a coaching standpoint IMO. It would great to have some new blood here with some new ideas and new tactics.
There is no vision. You have to be able to seen beyond your nose and Madrid refuses to do it. Why is Raul's place in the team so secure? Why can't they allow a coach 3 or 4 years to implement his ideas and bring in players that fit what he wants to do or fit the style of play that the club truly wants?? I like Mourinho but he has to know that he would have to go against his coaching instincts and still win a treble every year to remain as coach at Madrid. AND THEY WOULD STILL FIRE HIM!!
Mourihno in a battle of egos at Madrid would make for good print but not many trophies.
Everything you said makes waaaaaaay too much sense D-Wreck. I love this club but I can't believe the level of instability there. Politics is ruining any chance at a stable future. Perhaps Florentino Perez has learned from his mistake the last time he was president and will right the ship once and for all if he wins the election. Until then no manager is safe, no matter how much success he has. You have to win and win big (and sexy) ALL THE TIME at Real.
It's impossible.
