Posted Wednesday March 19, 2014, About: Leafs coach at odds with his goaltender
Why is it the Leafs instead of the Leaves?
Posted Wednesday January 15, 2014, About: Kovalchuk still loving the KHL life
Sounds like he made a quality of life decision based on what he values in life.
Posted Wednesday November 20, 2013, About: Resentment returning to Jets locker room
The Jets are just mad Coach Ryan didn't take them to Chucky-Cheese.
Posted Monday September 02, 2013, About: The NHL's most fearless player
I wonder how much shot blocking the Rangers will do now that Torts has departed.
Posted Sunday August 11, 2013, About: Did Wayne Gretzky trade hurt hockey in Canada?
If the Toronto Sun wants Canadian teams to win the Stanley Cup, they should push for the Canadian teams to hire General Managers who put together better clubs.

That being said, I am not sure about two teams in Toronto. If fans would support another team, great, it would be a natural rivalry. If not, the failure would be awkward to say the least. I agree Quebec City should have a team.
Posted Saturday August 10, 2013, About: No backlash in Riley Cooper's preseason debut
So...why did Paula Deen get hammered for something she said 30 years ago after being robbed at gunpoint? And why does Alec Baldwin still have commercials, and why did he just get a new show?
Posted Tuesday June 18, 2013, About: Rangers, Canucks swapping coaches
As the late, great Branch Rickey once said, "This is a trade that could well hurt both clubs." Seriously, Torts is too tough for Vancouver as a city and a club. He has too many rough edges. Not a good fit between Torts and the "finesse" players on Vancouver.
Posted Tuesday May 28, 2013, About: Staal never expects eye to fully heal
Staal's eye would be 100% fine, and Sid's jaw would not have been broken if the NHL adopted NCAA style cages. Many of us remember when NHL players did not wear helmets. No one would want to go back to those days, especially with the current awareness of concussions.
Posted Saturday April 13, 2013, About: Soderberg transfer blocked by Swedish Ice Hockey Federation
Burgh - Does his contract in Sweden contain clauses that give the Swedish Federation the right to prevent him from accepting an offer that would beep him out of the country for the international tourney in May. Not disputing your statement, just curious.
Posted Saturday April 13, 2013, About: Soderberg transfer blocked by Swedish Ice Hockey Federation
Does the man not have the basic right as a human being to work/play wherever he chooses?
Posted Saturday April 06, 2013, About: Sidney Crosby's recovery from broken jaw unclear
I still think NHL players would be well advised to wear cages like the USA college kids do. They could always take them off for fights.
Posted Friday January 18, 2013, About: Caps green-light Ovechkin for Sochi
This pro/am controversy is puzzling. Perhaps the original reason for keeping pros out of the Olympics was to prevent working class people from competing. Only the wealthy had enough time to train at the highest levels.
Posted Tuesday January 15, 2013, About: Booth injury may force Luongo deal
Booth? "Useless, useless." John Wilkes Booth's last words were, "Useless, useless." Cool!

Posted Monday July 23, 2012, About: New England's running back battle
Dolemite @#19: I agree. They should get somebody big to run over a few people; beat em up a little, and keep the defense home some.
Posted Wednesday May 23, 2012, About: Big East creating a tournament no one wants
El Duderino 11: you are right about that. Big East has the best played hoops. Football, not so much.
Posted Tuesday April 10, 2012, About: Could Florida lose the Panthers?
Maybe the Leafs should consider moving; it just doesn't seem to be happening for them in Toronto. Maybe if they move they could get some guys from Ontario. :-)
Posted Monday April 02, 2012, About: Coach-in-waiting at UConn?
They should get Calipari. He would fit right into the ethical abyss that Calhoun has created.

Posted Friday March 16, 2012, About: Would NCAA players ever go on strike?
Does anyone imagine these kids are not already being paid under the table?

Does anyone imagine that these kids are not paid "under the table"?
