Also, I don't know a single Niner fan (myself included) that I have talked to that cares AT ALL about this
Posted Tuesday July 09, 2013, About: Colin Kaepernick remains defiant in Dolphins hat drama
His wearing a dolphin hat will have 0 impact on his getting a nine figure contract. If he puts up big numbers, wins MVPs, and gets the team back to the superbowl then he could walk around in a Seahawk hat and jersey and they would give him all the money in the world. Production matters, nothing else. And how quickly everyone forgets he grew up a Niner fan and it was his dream to be their qb, and it came true. The hat simply matched the color scheme of the outfit he was wearing and that is the only reason he even owned a Dolphin hat. It's not disrespectful or immature. Anyone who is genuinely upset by this is a pansy.

It'll never happen but they need to eliminate 2 teams and make both leagues 14 teams. I nominate the Marlins and Astros
Posted Wednesday February 06, 2013, About: Jenkins wants Kaepernick to transform him
If Smith didn't get hurt then he would have finished the season as the qb, his concussion just gave Harbaugh the tiny opening he needed to assert Kap as his qb. If Alex had finished the season either it would be an open competition between the 2 for next season, or more likely they would be cutting ties with Smith just like they are now even if he had just as much success as Kap in the post season. Smiths trade value would have been higher than it is now (what a 5th rounder?) and his contract was set up where they could cut him and it won't hurt them.
Posted Wednesday February 06, 2013, About: Jenkins wants Kaepernick to transform him
What are you talking about? The niners traded up to take him in the 2nd round, just 1 spot after Andy Dalton was taken. Harbaugh chose him as his qb of the future 2 years ago. This isn't Tom Brady coming out of no where as a 6th round pick, the Niners hand selected him to replace Alex Smith and just waited until they had an opportunity to make the switch - Smith's concussion. If Smith didn't play so well in the 2011 season then Kap probably would have started at the beginning of this season since he has always be "Harbaughs guy"
Posted Wednesday February 06, 2013, About: Jenkins wants Kaepernick to transform him
He doesn't get thrown to because he was never even on the field. He only played a handful of plays the entire year. And the 2 times they threw to him he did drop the ball.

302 yards, 1 td, 1 int, 91.7 rating and 67 rush yards with 1 rushing td in the Super Bowl for just his 10th start? Yeah I call that real good. Offense wasn't the reason they lost (Kap led them to 29 points) poor pass D and special teams are at fault.

I'm sure you're not lol
Posted Thursday September 06, 2012, About: Starters letting Giants down
What the writer fails to mention is that despite the starters not performing lately the offense has come to life, even without Melky. They had won 11 of 14 before yesterday, until this series with the DBacks they had won every series for over a month, and despite Zito performing like his usual self from the last several years the Giants still managed to win his last 6 starts. So is the pitching staff floundering (especially vogey)? Yes. Has it mattered? No. If the pitching staff can get back on track and the lineup keeps up what its been doing then they can contend with anyone.
Posted Wednesday July 11, 2012, About: Harbaugh touts Moss as 49ers' top receiver
Stokes best year was still less than what Crabs did last season and half of Stokes career didnt even match Crabs rookie year. Not a good comparison.
Posted Tuesday July 10, 2012, About: Harbaugh touts Moss as 49ers' top receiver
Id have to go back and check but I dont remember Stokes ever even putting up the numbers Crabs had his rookie year, definitely nothing close to what he did last year. Crabtree will lead the team in receptions this year with probably 80-90 and should crack the 1000 yard mark. He wont get a lot of tds since those will go to Manningham and Davis but Crabs will beat his "bust" label this year
Posted Tuesday July 10, 2012, About: Harbaugh touts Moss as 49ers' top receiver
Thats actually a misconception. Crabtree has been more productive than Manningham, whom everyone praises, and his production has increased every year despite having Alex Smith as his qb, Jimmy Raye his OC in 2 of his 3 years, and no #2 receiver on the roster to help take some of the coverage away from him. He by no means has produced to the level of where he was drafted or people expected of him, but the amount of bust talk, especially under his circumstances is unwarranted.

It was a sign and trade, he wasnt just a FA signing because they did give up players to get him

Hes still not as fat as Prince Fielder and look at the contract he got.
Posted Tuesday June 05, 2012, About: Bochy questions Sandoval's ability to play 3B
Pablo has the most power on the team and only Posey and Melky hit similar to him in terms of average. "We have enough first basemen" - yeah Pill hitting .200 with 3Hr, Belt hitting .230 with 0 HRs and Huff hitting .180 with 1 HR. Playing only half the season Pablo has more HR then all 3 of them combined and was hitting over .300. If he isnt fit enough to play 3B then put him at 1B. Youd have to be a complete moron to keep him in the minors instead of having his bat at 1B with that crap offense.
Posted Wednesday March 28, 2012, About: Giants not ready to trust Belt
Hes only hit for a higher average and more power than both Pill and Huff, so lets have them play 1B and ship Belt off to Fresno! Oh he's out hitting all our outfielders except Cabrera too? Well we still dont need him and we will put Schierholtz in the OF instead, or Huff can fall all over the OF when we have Posey play 1B. Because we don't want to lose Huffs bat.
Posted Thursday March 22, 2012, About: Giants don't know what to do with Belt
This. Mainly Bocheys over reliance on veterans over young players. There's absolutely no reason for Huff to have played as much as he did last year at the expense of Belt early on and Pill later in the season.

Posted Wednesday March 21, 2012, About: Warriors owner heckled at Mullin's celebration
Lol believe me most Warrior fans know exactly why they will probably not have a first round pick this year. Marcus Williams was the guard you're talking about and it was a ridiculous trade.
Posted Tuesday March 20, 2012, About: Warriors owner heckled at Mullin's celebration
To build on that, while some fans were chanting "we want Monta" I don't think that is the main reason he was booed. He did 2 things wrong, first the guest of honor ALWAYS speaks last. He should have spoke before Mullin not after him, thats stealing his spot light. Second, he was introduced as "And we saved the best for last" I think the minute that was said AFTER Mullin spoke and then Lacob took the mic as the "best" that pissed people off.

Monta was just the final straw in a string of bad choices since he took over- firing a popular coach and hiring someone with 0 experience at any level, amnesty on Bell instead of Biedrins which anyone with a brain knew was stupid, all the talk about playoffs and not being able to come close to it, teasiong fans with Chris Paul and Dwight Howard when they realistically had no shot at either one, then finally trading someone who most fans knew needed to be traded but not getting much in return. Most real Warrior fans know the worst part of that trade was that he shipped off Udoh not Monta.

Ultimately it's a culmination of 20 years of frustration from Warrior fans. 1 playoff appearance in 18 seasons and only 2 seasons with a winning record. And for an owner who talked about changing the culture of the franchise and the way things have been done and promising improvement, all he has done is keep the status quo. That is why he was booed, and he deserved the booing, the problem was the timing and if he hadn't tried stealing Mullins spotlight and let him speak last then it wouldn't have come off as bad.

Warriors fans don't get enough credit for how dedicated and loyal they have been by putting up with the turds the team put on the court every night for the last 18 years and they still show up and sell out almost every game. No other franchise in the league has the attendance and atmosphere of the Warriors with the crappy product the fans have had to endure. I have 0 sympathy for Lacob, and while I do feel bad for Mully who is the most popular Warrior ever, I think the fans are getting painted in a bad picture for one night of showing their feelings and frustrations.
Posted Thursday March 08, 2012, About: What's holding up Smith's Niners deal?
With the defense and running game they have right now you go for it and run with Peyton for the next 3 years- thats your best chance at winning the Superbowl. In2-3 years when Manning retires you have Kaepernick come off the sidelines and hes your long term qb, and that is the plan even if they sign Smith instead of Manning. Why do you think Alex is only getting offered 3 years? Because they know he's not a long term solution and they plan of having Kaepernick take over from Smith anyways.

If the plan is to have Kaep take over in 3 years then who would you rather have now? It's Peyton for 2 reasons: 1. He gives you a better chance than Alex does at winning a Superbowl for the next 2-3 years while your D is awesome and 2. Wouldn't you rather have Kaep working with Peyton in practice and watching him in games than Alex. Have Kaep learn from the future HoFer, not the mediocre guy with 1 good year
