Football's an entirely different subject and a bad analogy. Every other player in baseball has to play both offense and defense, why let the pitcher's wimp out? They only play once every five days anyway, would it kill them to learn to swing a bat? I understand that you're calling it an automatic out, maybe that wouldn't be the case if the pitchers actually tried hitting. Guys like Micah Owings sure as hell aren't an automatic out.

Good christ really? I don't give a damn about whether we should keep interleague play or the DH or what, but don't come to me complaining because your pitcher hurt himself running. He's an athlete for **** sake, I don't care if he's a pitcher, there's no reason to continue to baby them like this. There is nothing saying a pitcher should pitch and nothing else. Maybe a couple of guys like Wang could take a lesson from Babe Ruth, or more currently Micah Owings, and work on more areas of their game then just pitching. Learn to play both sides of the game!

Leave it to the fine fans of Philadelphia to give us people like PhlyFan36 and PhillyDave. I've never seen a more classless and arrogant duo of idiots than in this thread. Yet, I can't say I'm shocked, Philly is notorious for it's crackpot fans.

I love how suddenly Crosby is the guy everyone loves to hate, when he's one of the only guys who may be able to pull this league back into respectability in the public eye.

Oh and Pens in 6. The special teams will decide it, and none's better than Pitt's right now.
