McNabb was rightfully concerned with the "rhythm" of the offense. The timing of blocking patters is the the most important thing to establish in preseason games. Blocking, must be established and confidence in the blocking patters is the key to ALL phases of the offense. Without that, the eagles would not have been the winning team they have been in the past and will not be in the future.

The media creates a "fishbowl" for everyone to see. They also like to stir the silt in the bottom to create drama. (drama sells stories)

I predict that they will work through all this "media created drama", and demonstrate why this team was the best team to add a talent like Vick.

While I'm not a Husker fan, I am a Bo Pelini fan. He has restored credibility to the Husker program. It takes a lot of commitment to cut loose one of the best backs in the country. The message is loud, clear and CONSISTANT to all the Husker players. The loss of ONE good player is much less than losing the progress he has made since going to NU.

It's really a shameful reflection on our society that people can kill, torture etc. a person, or persons and receive much less attention than Michael Vick has.

In no way am I condoning cruelty to animals or dog fighting. BUT.............. if you ask yourself a serious question about fairness, hasn't Vick been beaten up excessively in the media and all these blogs???

Hasn't he has already paid an extreme price, now it's time to give him a chance to contribute to society and for everyone else to move forward?

This is beginning to become clearer to everyone. 1) Cutler is upset Shanahan is gone. 2) Cutler is upset that his offensive coordinator is gone. 3) Cutler's agent sees this as an opportunity to work a deal or trade which will restructure and increase Cutler's compensation (and the agent gets a cut of this one).

This has become a lot more about BUSINESS, than personality. Just another spoiled brat listening to his "agent" who has the money side (the agents money side) clearly in focus. Looks like Cutler might be the next TO. (poor attitude and all about me).

It's really hard for you not to take the blame when you were parading around players that suddenly hit 60-75 home runs a season like it was going out of style. You had players recovering from 9 month injuries in 3-4 months but you turned a blind eye to that as well.

Sure, the players union has a lot of blame here and ultimately the players because they were the ones cheating, but you were in charge, so the buck stops with you. The union did push back against testing but you could have taken other directions.

Also, I blame the GM's of some of the teams as well. They had to know what was going on. C'mon, the Yankees took out the steroids clause from Giambi's contract, so they must have known something was up. Clemens pitching well into his 40's and still pitching at a high level. Also, the players were rewarded for cheating with some of the largest contracts ever. A-Rod got 252 million, Clemens was getting 18-25 million a year for cheating, Giambi got 126 million, so the GM's were rewarding the cheaters, so it got more players to cheat. "

Great and spot on to the T. It has been great to see Oritz call for mandatory, complete testing with possible career ending punishments. It's about time MLB and the players quit dancing around this issue and fix it. NOW!!

Teams are better off making sure that the players they sign are HIGH CHARACTER people. Manny brought a lot of questions his way last year in Boston. He has to establish his own credibility to get the contract he thinks he wants. Like they say, freedom is NOT FREE. (it applies to free agency as well)
