Accepted Rejected! Misdirected Resurrected!

Now svt, as far as the NCAA and Miami, the adage two wrongs don't make a right apply here but what about the unconditional pass that the NCAA gave UNC?

That's three wrongs minus accountability, things don't add up and I'm gettin all itchy!
Posted Sunday December 09, 2012, About: Is NCAA out to get the Miami?
Yes and UNC is a perfect example. The Tarheels had an academic scandal lasting a decade offering phony courses for semi-literate 'student'-athletes so that they could keep up academic eligibility among other academic infractions.

The school even fired Butch Davis but according to the NCAA it was all just a big misunderstanding and gave the school a complete and total pass on a documented case of systematic academic fraud.

Heaven forbid if the arbitrary enforcement of the NCAA catches players sleeping at the wrong residence (Boise State - impermissible lodging) or dozens of other minor infractions spread across the college landscape.

Better than the alternative. Just a few short months ago many of the posters here were writing the ACC off for dead. Survival of the conference is a big deal, just ask the Big XII.

They were thinking about the survival of their conference and they succededed.

Yeah, amazing all right. By making this deal with Notre Dame, the ACC created leverage.

Well good call and LMAO at all the know-it-alls that had the ACC dead in the water, especially that hack Ingram Smith who wrote an article announcing the fall of the conference like it was a done deal with the best teams going to the SEC and Big XII and he was generous enough to offer the scraps to the Big Ten.

Ingram Smith, what a DUNCE CRAFTER!

(another) Excellent comment from you!

Your way with words is almost poetic and your insight is brilliant. One area where I don't quite agree with you is that I get the impression that you might believe that the demise of the ACC is a foregone conclusion. And you might be right but I hope the ACC survives intact as is.

Also, if the ACC does get poached by the Big XII and SEC, I really hope the Big Ten flat out refuses to take on any stragglers. Except for two or three programs, all the other ACC schools will just water down a major conference.

The ACC is too valuable as a whole to be split apart.

How kind of this Ingram Smith to decide for the Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany that the B1G get the ACC scraps while Ingram gives, of course with the blessing of Slive and Bowlsby, the best ACC teams to the SEC and Big XII.

I always held out hope the the Big XII would survive and I hold that same hope for the ACC and I also hope that all current ACC teams stay put. And unless I'm mistaken, all that extra money being talked about in the Big XII isn't a done deal yet.

The ACC needs smart management right now, no knee jerk reactions. If these teams are worth so much to the Big XII, then they're worth just as much to the ACC to hold onto.

And as far as play on the field goes, the ACC is pretty much on par with the Pac-12 and Big Ten, and as such the ACC should be able to negotiate some decent coin to keep the conference relevant.
