True, but he might be a candidate now... and it would cement Graham's bad rep as an opportunistic carpet-bagger, he bolted on Rice after one season even after Rice gave him a big pay raise and contract extension and he left Pitt after just one season too, at least he had the courtesy to text message his decision to leave Pitt.

All Graham's negatives aside, his successes as a head coach can't be denied and the Texas gig is bigger than the Arizona St. gig.

It's just typical locker room behaviour for big dumb cave men. This same pecking order happens in warehouses, construction sites and work places the world over. Martin should have handled his business in the locker room and gained the respect of the neanderthals.

Martin has battered pansy syndrome.

Not so fast my friend, your plan worked! I'm not gonna pile on Johnny Lohan but this entitlement attitude is rampant even at schools like Akron.

09 Zips coached by Brookhart, big things are expected but they fell to 3-9. JD Brookhart had no control of his locker room and a thuggish/entitlement was the prevailing attitude of that team.

In 2010 they bring in Rob Ianello from Notre Dame and he cans all the bad apples but they lose even more games. Now hopefully Terry Bowden in his second year can get things turned around for the Zips.

Yep, and for those that don't follow college, it's almost 'messy' with all the different conferences with different numbers of teams and that's just one example... and that and many other crazy rules/situations is a big part of the interest for me.

Plus there's WAY more games played in CFB compared to the NFL.

Hello my new friend!
Posted Tuesday July 16, 2013, About: Wizards moving on Wall
I had to make a choice (wife) between football on Saturdays or football on Sundays (NFL) and I chose the college game. I still take in a few games and the playoffs too but I'm totally wrapped up in the college game.

After watching college so much, and then watching NFL, it's just feels so much easier to watch NFL because it so so much more precise.

Accepted Rejected! Misdirected Resurrected!

Now svt, as far as the NCAA and Miami, the adage two wrongs don't make a right apply here but what about the unconditional pass that the NCAA gave UNC?

That's three wrongs minus accountability, things don't add up and I'm gettin all itchy!
Posted Sunday December 09, 2012, About: Is NCAA out to get the Miami?
Yes and UNC is a perfect example. The Tarheels had an academic scandal lasting a decade offering phony courses for semi-literate 'student'-athletes so that they could keep up academic eligibility among other academic infractions.

The school even fired Butch Davis but according to the NCAA it was all just a big misunderstanding and gave the school a complete and total pass on a documented case of systematic academic fraud.

Heaven forbid if the arbitrary enforcement of the NCAA catches players sleeping at the wrong residence (Boise State - impermissible lodging) or dozens of other minor infractions spread across the college landscape.
Posted Wednesday September 19, 2012, About: ACC and Orange Bowl nearing deal
Better than the alternative. Just a few short months ago many of the posters here were writing the ACC off for dead. Survival of the conference is a big deal, just ask the Big XII.
Posted Wednesday September 19, 2012, About: ACC and Orange Bowl nearing deal
They were thinking about the survival of their conference and they succededed.
Posted Wednesday September 19, 2012, About: ACC and Orange Bowl nearing deal
Yeah, amazing all right. By making this deal with Notre Dame, the ACC created leverage.

Remember when you posted this?

"I still think there's time for anything to happen including the ACC to be saved somehow. I doubt B12 does anything before their meetings, Bowlsby first day in office or news about the new BCS structure."

Well good call and LMAO at all the know-it-alls that had the ACC dead in the water, especially that hack Ingram Smith who wrote an article announcing the fall of the conference like it was a done deal with the best teams going to the SEC and Big XII and he was generous enough to offer the scraps to the Big Ten.

Ingram Smith, what a DUNCE CRAFTER!
