Yeah, the scene of these 5 on the court was something out of the Twilight Zone. I wouldn't have dreamed we could pull off ANY victory where we were forced to have these 5 on the court at the same time. I cringed when I saw Mahinimi come in because in the past he has been extremely foul prone.
Posted Tuesday March 08, 2011, About: Dallas a hot Rod away from title run?
The Mavs, at least Carlisle is not counting on Roddy to be the team's savior. There is tons of depth on the bench. The real key is Chandler and his health. If he is healthy then we have the talent and attitude to give any team a run. Roddy would be a nice boost but he needs a lot more time on the court and I'm just not sure he will get it.
Posted Friday January 14, 2011, About: Iguodala-to-Dallas again a possibilty
Thanks for those stats. Everyone talks about Dirk being soft yet no one can explain why his stats go UP in the playoffs even when his season stats are so high!
Posted Friday January 14, 2011, About: Iguodala-to-Dallas again a possibilty
At least with your negative view of Nash you compared him to a bunch of 2nd rate guys... *sarcasm* LOL!
Posted Wednesday December 22, 2010, About: Mavs pushing to rent Melo?
I like the skill of Melo but can't stand the diva attitude. I feel certain he would bolt from Dallas next year regardless of how well they play and make it in the playoffs. It won't happen so it doesn't really matter.
Posted Wednesday November 24, 2010, About: Jackson: Players will ask for Riley
I must admit that I'm enjoying what has happened to the Miami dream team so far. If one believes in charma then they are enjoying this. Now if I can just get the networks to stop running that crappy LeBron Nike commercial that torments me. :)
Posted Wednesday November 10, 2010, About: Terry wants his role defined
Actually it is the opposite. For the last few years Terry has made it known that he likes coming off of the bench.

Carlisle does need to find out who he likes where and when but this isn't for a player to demand. He needs to just play ball.
Posted Monday November 01, 2010, About: LeBron regretting Decision, not decision
I would be glad if he would remove those IRRITATING Nike commercials as a start. Every time I watch one it makes me think he is that much more arrogant. The world is all about lbj.
Posted Friday October 29, 2010, About: Mavs pass over Haywood for Chandler
Compare Kidd to the rest of the PGs and you will find that he is still not a bad choice by a long shot. First game of the season he has 18 assists and 12 points with only one turnover. I thought that was respectable. ;) On top of this it's Kidd that is showing the most leadership of the Mavs. Dirk has never wanted to be a leader and can't seem to fit into that type of a role.

I think Chandler adds much needed grit to the Mavs. They seem a bit different when he is on the floor. Haywood and Chandler aren't necessarily awesome centers but it is better than we have seen in Dallas for a long time. Damp was a big body and that's about it.
Posted Tuesday October 26, 2010, About: Williams: Kitna 'just as good' as Romo
"nothing is over! Nothing! You don't just turn it off...." Nothing like a First Blood quote to start the morning.

I'm a Cowboys fan so I hate to say this but to be honest I think the Cowboys got a semi get out of jail free card here. At least when they look back on the horrid record they will have at the end of the year they can throw the "injured QB" excuse out there. Before Romo got hurt it was simply a team of under achievers with no discipline due largely to a bad coach (both Phillips and Garrett).
Posted Tuesday October 19, 2010, About: Phillips running out of buttons to push
The players are good, it's the team that stinks and the coach is at the top of the list. Horrible, just horrible.

Two words: Too Late
Posted Monday October 18, 2010, About: Jerry: Playoffs not out of the question
As a Dallas fan all I can do is watch this train wreck of a season and wonder why it would be a surprise to anyone to see them struggle this much. We have tons of talent but a cream puff coach with poor leadership. Teams like this will always look good on paper. :(
Posted Friday October 15, 2010, About: Kidd wants to play ... less
That really depends on where you think you will fall at the end of the season. The west is always tough. Last season the rankings literally came down to the wire as to who would play who. Granted you have to actually be able to beat teams in the playoffs regardless of your ranking but you still hope to have home court. If a team goes into coast mode and loses say, 5 to 7 more games in the season, it is fairly important. Of course, the counter to my argument is that the younger Dallas players aren't getting a chance to grow and be a positive attribute.
Posted Thursday October 14, 2010, About: Roy: 'I want the ball a lot more'
It's surprising that a player like Roy would even have to make this statement.
Posted Thursday October 14, 2010, About: Rangers to add a lefty for Yanks?
First.. like it matters.

Hopefully the Rangers will continue playing the Yankees tough.
Posted Saturday October 09, 2010, About: Iverson close to signing with Turkish club
"Practice! We're talkin bout practice man... Not a game.. Not a game... Practice..." *repeat*
Posted Monday October 04, 2010, About: LeBron: Why am I a target?
LOL, I feel your anger at LB man but this is comical. There isn't a single team who wouldn't want to sign LB to a big deal if they could. Even Cleveland would take him back in a second. Just because he is a moron with no class doesn't mean teams will avoid him when he has this much talent.
Posted Friday October 01, 2010, About: James, Wade duking it out?
You have to admit that James has taken it to a whole new level. How many of those players got on an hour long TV special to let everyone see them give their old team the finger? Come on man.. surely you can see a difference.

Also, look what most of those players did. No one from that list jumped ship from their team because they couldn't handle the leadership. Well, I see you put melo in the mix. Why is he there? Melo among those names? For real? OH, for having a big headed ego he fits but that is the only reason.
Posted Friday October 01, 2010, About: Van Gundy's wardrobe mocked by NBA?
I was thinking the same thing except not necessary the lockout. Out of all of the things the NBA can think of to make it better, this is it?

I never thought once about Van Gundy's attire. Does anyone besides Stern even care what the coaches wear?
Posted Friday October 01, 2010, About: Rivers: There is a new and improved KG
I agree. Just think about how many times you have heard a coach say, "Player X is looking pretty average. " Think about how strange it would be to hear Mark Cuban say "Yeah, JKidd is looking slower and slower. We are lucky to have him." Uhhh.. NO. Even the worst teams in the league are going to be talking about how this year is going to be different because x, y and z.
Posted Wednesday September 29, 2010, About: McNabb expecting warm welcome Sunday
Let's face it, the reputation of Eagle's fans didn't come about for no reason. As a Cowboy's fan the Michael Irvin injury stands out in my mind when I think about Eage's fans. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't remember this type of thing happening at another stadium where a player is injured to that point and the fans reacting like they did. This is just one of many instances. I know a few are giving a bad rap for the majority but those few are pretty darn bad.
