I also think that Romo played up the injury quite a bit. I hope he is OK but we all know that he has been throwing erratic during his down games and most throws have gone high. As long as they make the playoffs I could care less of their record. I just want them to win a playoff game or two. Maybe that will break the transe that Romo goes into at times.
I think players say things like this BEFORE the game in hopes that somehow the refs will hear it and it will make them think a little longer before they give that person the easy call. In reality though, the refs are going to give Brady and others special treatment regardless of what anyone says. The QBs need protection but things are out of hand. Pretty soon we will put bubblewrap on them and let them play "red light, green light" as the defense rushes towards them.
I personallly don't believe Roy has whatever Jerry Jones saw when he gave so much for him. He has good height and is physical but he seems to lack that burst of speed that other greats have had. I see him more as a receiver running crossing routes than running straight up the field. Like I said, I don't see the speed. Regardless, I think he needs more time to show everyone what he really has to offer, whether little or a lot.
1. Romo has had a very difficult time throwing until just recently and many of the passes to Williams are bad passes.
2. I've watched as Romo has become glued to one receiver (Austin)
3. It seems like Williams and Romo are out of sync and I'm not sure who's the one to blame. Romo calls the play and throws to nobody. You see them discussing and pointing different routes. If I had to guess I would say this is on Roy at this point but early on Romo had this problem with all of his receivers.
4. Roy has dropped passes that he should have caught and Austin has caught them when it counts.
The majority of this goes against Williams but some of the blame should be on Romo and his tendency to throw passes 5 feet over the head of receivers or down in the turf.
Of course he thinks about it but he is going to get ripped even worse if he throws it out there. If it were me I know I would want to win this game in a major way.
