Atro, you didn't read a word I wrote. But that's fine.

"Balfour has stressed that he has no injury issues, and he reportedly has doctors backing him up on that point. The Rays are looking for a closer to replace free-agent Fernando Rodney, who has popped up on the Orioles' radar.

Balfour is coming off a 38-save season in which he posted a 2.59 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 72:27 K:BB ratio in 62 2/3 innings. He has thrown 55 or more innings in each of the last six seasons, including three seasons with the Rays."

So basically, this year they'll be as good as anyone, and next year and going forward, they'll get younger and younger and better and better. Yanks had one down year, folks. Hope you all enjoyed it!!! You won't be getting another anytime soon!!!!

Here's another thing for everyone to think about...with Tanaka, yanks will have a rotation of CC, Kuroda, Tanaka, Nova, Pineda....now I ask this...give me a better front to back rotation. As far as postseason rotations, sure I'd probably rather have Detroit's or the Dodgers', but as far as depth and complete rotations go, there aren't any deeper or more complete in all of baseball. And if this Tanaka kid can be even just a notch or so below what Darvish has been, he can be the new Ace of the rotation, thereby making CC the #2 and Kuroda the #3, there by also making them about as good as Detroit or the Dodgers for even the postseason. Because they have a better #4 in Nova, who gets better and better as the years go. Oh, and here's another interesting fact...everyone loves talking about how old the yanks are, and of course, yes they definitely are...but after next yr, they'll rid themselves of ichiro, Soriano, Teixeira, Kuroda, Brian Roberts, and who knows, maybe even Arod if he's suspended the entire 2014 season which would make him no doubt contemplate retirement....All that would leave them with only 3 "old guys": CC, Jeter, Beltran...4 if Arod plays again. Wow....so old....4 old guys....out of 25....how dare they!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahahahahahahahah!!!!! Oh and by the way...those 3 or 4? Yeah, they're all still pretty good. CC will have a comeback season, Jeter will be healthier, and Beltran is still very good. And ARod, if he plays, can definitely do what he did in the end of last season which makes him at least serviceable, or maybe even a plus.

Bottom line is if Yanks get Tanaka, (which at this point we gotta assume they will since they've been simply obsessed with him from the end of the regular season), and then sign any half decent closer, like Balfour or even Rodney, and pick up mark Reynolds for cheap (which is a definite if arod I suspended for the yr which he most definitely will be), they will have sewn up literally EVERY hole they had. And I do mean EVERY. And boy oh boy were there a lot. And yes, they will make those moves..............because....they're the Yankees.

No, but a better lineup than Oakland will. As well as the fact that there really was no problem with the physical...The orioles just decided against the deal at the last second and needed an excuse.
