Sabrefan's Comments

He is very highly regarded, was a finalist for Buffalo GM before they selected Tim Murray. All the stories I read about him were positive.

sure, anything to screw over my Sabres....

If he does leave, I'd like to see him someplace like St Louis...agree with all of you that would be great fit for him. The Blues look very good this season, they have a complete team. Miller would be goalie upgrade. I still think the Ducks are the prime candidate, however can they pay him adequately with big contracts they have for Getzlaf and Perry ? I think Hiller is UFA after this season ????

Maybe you should ask Pat LaFontaine...he left New York to come back to Buffalo. Both he and Miller are revered in Buffalo. The Sabres will also have a ton of cap space heading into next season. Paying Miller won't be the issue if he decides to stay. Henrik's numbers are slightly better than Miller's, but then he's been on the better team for the last few seasons as well. Goaltending isn't Buffalo's problem, scoring goals is the issue. One goal or less in half their games.

If only the Sabres could play Toronto more frequently....the Leafs seem to be the cure for most of Buffalo's ills...

All I know is that the Sabres just beat the Leafs....again. That's two of three this year. We have six wins all year and two vs the Leafs. Be proud Toronto...be proud !!

And all this time I was expecting it to be Anaheim, isn't Hiller UFA after this season ??? For "our" sake, I hope Nolan convinces him to stay in Buffalo...

It's sad to watch games where there are a bunch of empty seats from blueline to blueline. Reminds me of watching games in Atlanta. Will the NHL never learn...??? Stop trying to force hockey into non-traditional marketplaces. I bet the Winnepeg players love playing in front of such passionate fans.

Too bad Michigan losing to Michigan State ended any realistic chances of you getting to the number two spot...you guys can go stink up the Rose Bowl again....maybe next year play some tougher non-conference games the first few weeks of the season....besides UB, Fla. A&M, and SD State....

Look at the number of shots Miller has faced. I think 40 or more shots 5 times this season. The Sabres are bad this year, very bad. No goalie is winning there this year. And yes, I do enjoy my season tickets, thanks for asking. I dont' have to sell my soul to see my team play at home.Still waiting for response on the other stats I noted. All the Leafs need to do is win the next 41 games in a row vs Buffalo to tie the all-time series, LMAO. And the last time the Leafs won a Cup there were SIX teams in the league....wow ! Have no idea where you're getting your stats...Miller has already faced 405 shots, Bernier leads Leafs but has only faced 327. That's a difference of almost 80 SOG. Point is Miller would be a "better" goalie if he was on a better team. If you're happy with your goalies, I'm happy for you.

You're welcome Mr Montreal fan....

PS...Miller is STILL better than anything you've got. You know the saying...when you have two starting goalies, you really have none....

Buffalo is 108-67-18 all time vs your Leafs. Sabres all time winning percentage is 4th all time in NHL at .551. Leafs are an all time mediocre .509 . Buffalo has three more playoff appearances since the Sabres began in 1970. They have 5 more division champonships in that time than Toronto. Two Stanley Cup final appearances to ZERO since 1970 for your boys. And Buffalo beat them 4 games to 1 in only head to head playoff appearance in 1999. Anything else....?????? And the statement about Leaf fans in Buffalo is simply moronic. And yes, the Sabres are terrible this year. If you want to debate hockey, that's great. I just get irritated by the constant criticism of the city that has 1/9 th the population of Toronto. If that's all Danny has to offer, than just stay home. And no, I don't even live there, it's just kind of my adopted city as a season ticket holder.

I agree, Montreal certainly has a much more storied and successful history than the Toronto Maple Laffs...

Still waiting for that long list of recent (last 47 years) successes from the self proclaimed hockey center of the universe...

I'm waiting for the words of outrage from the NHL Network, as well as NBC Sports and Mike MIlbury. ALSO waiting for the list of what Toronto has won in the last 47 years or so...speaking of loser teams. Go Leafs go...still haunted by that game 7 choke job last year in Boston, huh ?

It's what football coaches do, perhaps you prefer the coddling of kids and getting them used to never accepting responsibility for any of their actions ? I'm 100% SURE Kelly isn't the only coach in America that occasionally raises his voice or yells at his players.

You're still bitter about that Game 7 choke job in Boston, aren't you ?

You're kidding, right ? Tropp has a broken jaw courtesy of Devane. Maybe the Leafs should make sure he's on the ice when Scott is next time. Let's see how that turns out. Kessel also got away with a spear at the end of it all. Bush leaguer. If you're not gonna fight put down the stick, and pull up your skirt. You guys in Toronto are something else. The Leafs have the last change, right ? Once Scott was on the ice the Leafs should have sent someone on the ice for what was going to occur. I applaud Rolston. And the reason the Sabres have Scott is because of the Lucic hit on Ryan Miller. Lucic, surprisingly, had no fights vs Buffalo last season. I wonder why ? Maybe because he knew John Scott was there and he couldn't take "liberties" with 175 pound goalies. Hope the Leafs survive not having Kessel for those 3 pre-season games...that'll teach him ! Clarkson was the "idiot" for coming onto the ice...his punishment is fully deserved according to the rules. Take off your rose colored glasses...

That's a pretty moronic statement. Do you want them to play until they're 50 or what ? Add Bernie Williams to the equation and they go down as one of the greatest core groups of all-time. Greatest reliever ever...end of discussion. Five World Championships, countless Division championships, and what since 1996...missed the playoffs one year ? Twice ?
