Posted Sunday July 29, 2007, About: Gruden betting on Garcia
I mean, you can say all you want about Garcia's lack of a big arm, or his height issues, but his mobility and ability to improvise and create plays on the fly allowed him to be extremely successful in Philadelphia when Donovan Mcnabb got injured. 61.7% percentage, 10-2 TD-INT ratio, 1309 passing yards and 85 rushing while only being sacked 6 times in only 6 starts is nothing to scoff at, especially with only an average WR corps. He, along with Brian Westbrook, led them on a late-season charge to the playoffs. Yes, he's getting old, but he's a good fit for Gruden's offense and should succeed.
