Posted Saturday February 14, 2009, About: Inside Nets-Spurs trade for Carter
Finally someone with some sense!! The only team that benefits is New Jersey. San Antonio.... the most reserved... cost conscientious... intelligent team when it comes to their roster is going to explode their team that is one of the best teams in the ultra-competitive West to get an aging, shoot-first ball-hog? Why would they ever do this? When have they ever shown that they are willing to do something so drastic? They have a team that could challenge the Lakers, whom they are 1-1 with a healthy Bynum. Whoever wrote this article doesn't know basketball.... and neither does anyone who agrees with it.
Posted Tuesday June 10, 2008, About: Is Del Negro desperate choice?
When I heard this I about coughed milk out my nose. Who!? Del Negro? How did they manage to decide on this? Pulling names from a hat? Just because you got a once-in-a-lifetime chance with the 1st pick doesn't mean you can bungle the rest of your season away with the cheapest coach out there.
Posted Tuesday June 03, 2008, About: Why Brown signed with Celtics
He simply jumped on the bandwagon with Cassell. Another aging veteran looking for a last chance to win a ring.... I feel for the Celtics, but I hope LA wins. They only benefited from 1 unbelievable trade... not a series of modern day miracles to resurrect a dead organization. The NBA must be loving this.
Posted Friday April 25, 2008, About: Arenas suffers injury setback
It isn't surprising that the Wizards played better without him. He demands the ball and shoots the ball even when he is obviously out of rythym. The best thing that could've happened to the Wizards was for Arenas to not play and let the team that got them to the playoffs beat up the Cavs.
Posted Friday March 28, 2008, About: Suns cool Shaq-Riley feud
He's right about their medical staff. They can't seem to keep Wade healthy at all.. let alone ailing big men Shaq, Alonzo and now Haslem. I think my Dentist could do a better job keeping these guys healthy.
Posted Thursday March 27, 2008, About: Carlesimo: Durant only ROY pick
Impact on a team is more important than throwing up 20 shots a game. Horford has helped the Hawks go from a basement team to a playoff team. That's more than Durant has been able to do with the Sonics. I still think he's gonna win, but I think it's been propagated by the media more than by actual NBA insiders. imo
Posted Tuesday March 25, 2008, About: Is Bird's legend in danger?
Great players don't make great basketball managers/presidents/coaches. In fact, it seems to be the scrub players that end up becoming pretty good execs in the NBA. Maybe all the time on the pine gives them a chance to learn the ins-and-outs better.
Posted Tuesday March 25, 2008, About: Riley plans more scouting trips
What's he gonna miss in the tourney that he can't watch in re-runs on tv? It's not like the draft is gonna save the Heat. If he can't figure out how to win with Wade, Marion, Haslem, Davis... a couple of All-Stars and some decent role players, then maybe he should be scouting for a new coach.
Posted Monday March 24, 2008, About: Owner: Walker won't get buyout
Walker is overweight and lazy. He doesn't hussle and he's horrible on both ends of the court. Heaven knows why this team picked him up. I think McHale is in a competition with Isaiah, Paxson and Bird to see who can run their franchises into the ground the quickest.
Posted Monday March 24, 2008, About: Bulls hurting Boylan's chances
This article is spot-on. I think Boylan was doing ok after being handed a train wreck, but then management decides to trade half his team out from under him and give him crap players like Larry I-can't-hit-the-backboard-if-I-tried Hughes. You think Gooden is happy playing away from Lebron? How about Gordon who sees his big contract shrinking everyday? No wonder Nocioni blew up, but he blew up at the wrong guy. Go tear that idiot Paxson a new one Andres.
Posted Tuesday March 18, 2008, About: Bird's Pacers future uncertain
They've both managed to take a team that was a contender each year in the Eastern Conference to a team that is almost laughable. Do you think Steinbrenner would allow the Yankees to fall like this? It's amazing what NBA owners put up with from their team execs. Between the Knicks and the Pacers it's hard to imagine how these owners had enough business sense to be rich enough to own them.
Posted Tuesday March 18, 2008, About: Injured Arenas unsure of return
In other words... "Now that we're on the cusp of not making the playoffs, I'm not sure if I'll play."

The guy is only looking forward to signing a fat contract somewhere.

Arenas sure is looking out for #1 ... or I should say #0 isn't he...
Posted Tuesday March 18, 2008, About: Amare wants recognition as elite player
Beer you're an idiot. It's obvious without you stating it that you know nothing of the NBA. Very rarely does a team get anywhere with 1 superstar and a bunch of hacks. Look at the past couple years of championship teams. spurs (definition of teamwork) Heat (Shaq and Wade and some good role players in Haslem and Mourning) Detroit (another solid definition of teamwork, whether it's Billups, Sheed or Hamilton leading them, they still win)
If you don;t know what your talking about, keep it to yourself.

Stoudamire should stop whining. People will never consider him elite until he can do what he is doing without Nash who is 2x MVP. When he does that then he'll be put up there with the elites.
Posted Monday March 17, 2008, About: Wizard calls LeBron overrated
It takes a helluva ego to say that about a guy who is one of the leading scorers in the NBA and who just led his ragtag team to the Finals last season. What has Stevenson ever done, other than help people lose the turnover category in Fantasy?????
Posted Tuesday March 11, 2008, About: Isiah hints at Knicks job security
I wonder what kind of leverage Thomas has against Dolan to keep him on... He's beyond ridiculous.
Posted Wednesday February 20, 2008, About: Report: Nets offer Carter for O'Neal
Carter and Kobe on the same team!? That would be interesting, but not going to happen.

Sounds like NJ wants to start from scratch. Especially if they dump Carter for expiring contracts...
Posted Thursday February 07, 2008, About: Injured Garnett no closer to return
cruse1 is right. Let's not give the Big 3 sainthood before they've even managed a title.
Posted Thursday February 07, 2008, About: Spurs won't counter West trades
Making snap decision and huge trades in the middle of the season has never been the Spur's way. Why should they change now? Because the Suns (who they beat twice this year) picked up an old, injured big guy that the Spurs have learned to play against in the past? Pulling in Stoudamire was the biggest move they've really made since nabbing Finley for chump change... yet they've managed to snag titles anyhow.

This time last year everyone was passing them off as too old and the Mavericks as the team to beat, and we all know what happened after that.
Posted Wednesday February 06, 2008, About: Szczerbiak on trade block?
This is what happens when people get contracts for potential rather than for actual talent. Ie: Darko, Kwame and Wally. Teams try to lock up good potential into long term contracts so that other teams won't snatch them away.. seems like this just ends up hurting teams in the end. I don't see how the Sonics would benefit from hughes.... so this isn't going to happen.
Posted Tuesday February 05, 2008, About: Source denies Sixers-Bulls talks
This trade wouldn't make any sense. Trade one struggling PG for another struggling PG? Wa2Sea is right... they need someone in the post that can score some points.
Posted Wednesday January 30, 2008, About: Smush asks Miami for buyout
The fact that charges haven't been filed and the woman hasn't pursued any legal action makes me think that this incident has been overblown. Smush has all the right to bail on that sinking ship before he gets traded.
