Sports journalist Dan Lebatard said it best. he threat to "move the team to Seattle" will be leverage b y every owner in the NBA to get a new arena or whatever he or she wants.
Right now the Celtics need to get younger and we need desperate help in the paint and 2 guard spot. If we could trade Rondo to say the Bobcats get either Nerlens Noel or Ben McLemore, I would do it. As good as Rondo is, I don't see him carrying the Celts with an ancient Pierce and Garnett and no quality younger players. If Garnett, Jason Terry and our 1st round pick can be had for Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan I would take it. We have to get younger, right now my Celts are running in place.

I follow the sentiments of others. I hope Pierce retires a Celtic. When I look at my Celtics I'm trying to see where the team can go from here. If Fab Melo can be decent 10pt / 5reb a game, that would be huge. We need a quality garbage man like Bird Man, Reggie Evans or Manimal and we need a decent 2 guard.
That's the beauty of bowls. They are supposed to be about drawing a crowd and the actual playoffs determine champions. So I think two 3-9 teams should be able to go to bowls because bowls should be about fans, and traditions. There is nothing wrong with a 3-9 UCS playing a 3-9 Michigan in the Rose Bowl and Boise State and Kansas State playing the National Championship.
FSU had 11 players drafted. I'm more impressed with team totals then conference totals. Also, Ole Miss did not have 1 player drafted, U Conn had 5. I don't think U Conn would beat Ole Miss this past season and U Conn finished 5 -7 so what good is having talent if it doesn't translate into victories?
You see the guy put in the time and then you offer him the big contract, not the other way around. Damn I wish we had drafted Russell Wilson last year. He would have out worked Romo in training camp and may be helped Romo out the door.
It's a double standard. If LeBron told the Bucks players"You can't guard me" and scored 50 in a victory he would be called arrogant just for saying it. Mind you, I'm a Celtic fan, but I see 10 times more arrogance in a guy like Kobe Bryant then LeBron but maybe it's because of the rivalry.
So when Larry Bird famously went into the locker room before the 3 point contest and ask the other contestants, "Which one of you is coming in second?'' was he arrogant or a competitor? Remember Larry Legend already had rings, and MVP title so why should he care about a little 3 point contest, right?
Yes, winning a ring erases it for me just not for you. I saw a lot of quitter in Karl Malone in the NBA finals and that has been forgiven. Dirk would rather scream at Jason Terry than ball during his 1st Finals appearance but now all is forgiven with a title. Kobe tantrumed his way to destroying a Lakers dynasty just to prove he didn't need Shaq but 2 more titles and all is forgiven. LeBron saw his weaknesses and bettered his game and his mindset and I respect it.
It's called throwing to a spot. How college quarterbacks can look all world in college and some how look horrible in the NFL. But hay, this is college so " You go Devin."
