Bet Auto Club Speedway will now change all the walls to safer barrier. I think all the tracks should have them everywhere. I believe it would have made a difference in this case.

Clint Bowyer and Jeff Gordon were involved in a pair of incidents Sunday at Phoenix Int'l Raceway that triggered a fight between their crews in the aftermath.

The duo collided with seven laps to go with Gordon cutting a tire and crashing into the wall.

!!!!!! As he limped around in his battered car, NASCAR black flagged Gordon to get off the track.!!!!!!!!

But he remained on the speedway and when Bowyer came back around Gordon turned into the Michael Waltrip Racing driver to set off a chain reaction accident.

That triggered the brawl in the garage area that erupted between both crews fighting before NASCAR officials were able to break things up.

After further review, I discovered that NASCAR had black flagged Jeff telling him to get off the track right before he 'paybacked' Bowyer. Jeff should have gone to pit road as instructed. Since he didn't and continued driving to deliberately wreck Bowyer, I now feel like NASCAR should do something to Jeff. But I still think if NASCAR would have thrown the caution after the first dust up, none of it would have happened. Most of the time I believe in 'boys have at it' but because of the black flag issue I have to reverse my previous opinion.

Well said! You can add ---> Way to go, Harvick for winning the race! Good move by Stewart by picking up Harvick in 2014.

The Jeff and Bowyer stuff ----> Boys have at it. But don't agree with the pit members trying to take out a driver. NASCAR should have thrown 2 cautions ---> 1 - when Jeff's tire went down BEFORE the payback and 2 - when Danica wrecked. 1 would have stopped Gordon and Bowyer wreck which also took out Joey and Aric and 2 would have saved alot of cars from being wrecked and possibly hurting drivers.

NASCAR dropped the ball when they didn't drop the yellow for Danica. They wanted the race to finish under green more than they wanted to protect the driver's safety. Shame on them.

I think Harvick doesn't want to play second fiddle to Austin. Had already heard Austin would be in Sprint Cup for 2014.

Since Brad and Jimmie both have 5 wins, what happens if NEITHER of them win the remaining 2 races BUT they TIE in points ---------> Who wins it then????

I heard someone who said they weren't sure BUT that they would look at who had the most 2nd place finishes and so on. It is bugging me that I can't find the answer anywhere.

Suspended Sprint Cup driver A.J. Allmendinger has tested positive for amphetamine, his business manager told USA TODAY Sports on Wednesday, and the driver has committed to NASCAR's Road to Recovery program.
NASCAR substance abuse program administrator David Black indicated he would be surprised if the positive came from a supplement.

Amphetamine = e.i. Adderall, Ritalin --- a control substance which normally requires a prescription.
