What a stupid story. Who wrote this? Just because he was aware of the bet doesn't mean anything. As an athlete gettting millions playing a sport, he should, obviously, have been playing to win. That's what happened. Much different than a paying a referee, who normally should have no interest in who wins. If he had bet on them to lose and then Jack had missed a potential game-tying or winning shot then that could have been a story. Why would Mayweather need to pay him? What about the rest of the team? Did he pay them to try harder to win? There is more than one player on the floor, you know. If Stern isn't aware of big bets by rich and famous peope then he must have been living in a cave in Siberia or something.
