I had no idea that GT played in the SEC! When did they leave the ACC?
Posted Sunday February 01, 2009, About: Bob Knight interested in Georgia job
Hell, as a Georgia fan, i'd take just about anyone with a winning record at this point. It would be nice to have a Coach like Bob Knight to try to fix things in the program.

Also, getting back to the original topic...

Now that Roger Goodell has issued an official statement saying that it will be AT LEAST 2011 before a rookie salary cap will be applied do you think this will keep Moreno and/or Stafford [along with other young athletes on the fence] around for another year?

Deliverance was mainly filmed in SC and NC... besides, what does a film have to do with the state? I don't know if you've ever taken off your rose colored glasses in Florida, but there are just as many creepy swamp/everglades/backwoods people in Florida as there are in Georgia.

I'm going to take a stab at this and say you're just grasping for straws to pick on Georgia fans. Unfortunately, it's causing you to look immature and desperate. UF and UGA are BOTH great programs. And again, UGA is leading the all-time wins.

And finally, just some food for thought: The UF vs UGA game is practically a home game for UF EVERY YEAR. That's a nice advantage. Richt wanted to alternate Jacksonville and the Georgia Dome to make it fair, I'd like to see that happen.

rather why do, not does... i'm sure i'll be torn apart for that typo.

hmm... and i thought this might have slowed down some of the bickering WAAAAYYY back on page 4.

p.s. UGA is the only public school in the nation to have two Rhodes scholars, SO WHAT? They're not playing football. Why does school smarts matter in college football? The academic requirements for athletes are the pretty much same across the nation, right?

First of all, two wrongs don't make a right. UGA's stunt wasn't classy, but neither were the late TO's. U.M. tends to run the score up when he gets a chance, no matter the team. Whatever, that's football. Let it go.

UGA gave up after the first half. You could argue that UGA shot themselves in the foot(missed FG's, Unnecessary Roughness to refute Interception, dropped TD pass, etc.) but the point of the matter is THAT IS FOOTBALL! UF could have made those same mistakes, but they didn't because they played a better football game.

I would have loved to see BOTH teams play their best game and see who came out on top. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Am I still a UGA fan? Yes. Do i still hate the GATORS? Yes, I'm a UGA fan, it's a rivalry! Will I route for UF during bowl season? You bet! They're still SEC. They're still family.

One thing is for sure, no matter who you pull for, the UGA - UF game will be a great rivalry for years to come.

For a final thought... Every single one of our posts are biased. So everyone of us(including myself) are going to see things the way we want to.
Posted Thursday April 10, 2008, About: Injury tough on Hampton emotionally too
After watching the Braves vs. Rockies game we sure could use either a healthy Hampton or the $15M to buy someone who will help the team. Rotation has been the Braves' problem the past couple of years and it would have been nice to not have been counting on Hampton, but i guess that's how it goes in the biz.
Posted Tuesday February 05, 2008, About: USC can't sway UGA recruit
I believe we can thank the PAC-10/BIG-10 agreement for the passing of UGA in the Rose Bowl against USC.

Generally, when people put down something it's because they're insecure. If you want to give your team/conference hoora's go for it, but don't trash talk other teams/conferences if you don't know all of the facts.

On a side note, UGA had 2 Rhodes Scholars in the 2007.
