Throw Tebow into the mix and the buzz becomes huge, the sizzle electric Really? I couldn't imagine a duller personality. Maybe they can get Pat Boone to spice up the intro music!
Sorry boys, I didn't realize this was an exclusive mutual stroking club for the repeat posters who are apparently all real he-men. Don't worry, I won't interrupt your little love fest again.
Harry, when your rant starts out with "Shut up", then progresses to "primadonna multi-millionaire" and "idiot Captain", it's a little late to be taking the high road, don't you think? Maybe you should try to read what Z actually said. He stated a couple of pretty obvious facts. You are apparently seething with anger. I bet it's because you would be an NHL star but for that knee injury.
Donny, if your idea of evisceration in a debate is to resort to name-calling, maybe you should ask your homeroom teacher if it's OK for you to be on the internet while in class. The owners depend upon stupid people to blame the players, and it's obviously working.
Go back to grade school and learn grammar, then try to make sense. The point is this is a LOCKOUT, not a strike. The players would all be in camp, but the owners have locked them out, because they say the cannot afford the contracts they offered. Then they continue to offer multi-year seven figure contracts. Does that somehow make sense to you? My problem is all the anger is directed at the players and not the owners.
Boy did this bring out the cavemen. Read the post, there is no whining. Z states a couple facts: Russians are not uncomfortable playing in Russia, and the NHL does not honor contracts. If you got hired for $10 per hour, then your employee said he's making more money than ever, but he is going to cut your pay to $7.50, would your reaction be "Great!"? If you're jealous of a player with a average career of 5 years trying to get paid what he can, why aren't you jealous of a billionaire who is making hundreds of times as much money, but claiming poverty? Sports is entertainment, and the players are not the only ones signing their contracts. It is unethical for the owners to offer a contract, then unilaterally change the conditions.
Borque won exactly zero Cups until he piggybacked onto an already great team. Lidstrom was the best player (ask Yzerman) on four champions. You Boston people are clueless homers.
