because the blazers didn't want this worthless head case anywhere near their nucleus of young players. after watching his act for a few years he's a cancer they can do without. besides, he's not that great of a player. he never realized his "potential" because he has a selfish attitude and no work ethic.
i don't care if he scores 20 pts a game and costs them on the salary cap, they are better off without him.

costa will start, roper will be a good backup and harper will be brought in occassionally as a change-of-pace. i think the defense and the running game will carry us early until the offense finds its groove. we'll be just fine.

i'm all about supporting your favorite team(s), but there has to be some sort of limits. i'd rather lose with good people who gave their all then root for someone i wouldn't want in my home or around my kids. as a trail blazer fan i've had first hand experience when your team gets full of thugs and lowlives. thank god they've turned that around and now have guys you're happy and proud to root for.

no, he's got way more offense than dikembe. that being said, i don't think he'll win ROY cuz he won't be the focus of the offense and won't put up the kind of offensive numbers that rose and beasley will. but he'll contribute heavily to the interior defense and rebounding.
i think he can be a consistent double/double guy. and if he does.....playoffs here we come!!

and i don't think he won the NBA finals by himself. yeah, think he might have had just a little bit of help with that.

oh, boo hoo for poor brett!! he's a grown man and can't make his own decisions?
i always liked the guy but now can barely stomach him. first he wanted to be released, which everyone knows wasn't going to happen. you don't let him go to your division rivals.
then he wanted to be traded, but only to teams he chooses. now he won't talk to potential trade teams thereby ruining any chance of green bay trading him **** are the packers supposed to do with this guy?
grow up, brett! you're acting like a spoiled child and turning off all the fans who rooted for you during your playing days.
i hope he gets traded to a last place team. but then he just won't report.
