I got that you were comparing it to lack of intelligence you feel the players have, that's why I quoted the entire sentence. It's still absurd. You really just give credence to Aussie's comment: "Better to keep one's mouth closed and be thought of as a fool, then open said mouth and remove all doubt". I agree with you both. As outrageous as I find Parise's contract and others similar, the owner's shouldn't have been tossing around money like drunken sailors thinking they can just take the players for fools and re-coup the money later. At this point I also find Fehr is coming across as the more reasonable side of the issue.
