I grew up in Texas and live in Oklahoma now. Trust me, as much as the Sooners hated Nebraska, it was nothing compared with the fever that football fans here get during OU-Texas weekend.

Best free agent signing? Leshon McCoy anyone?
Posted Saturday May 19, 2012, About: Worst Free Agent Signing This Past NFL Offseason
Had to go left given the choices. I think Maning was a brilliant pick up. He doesn't need to last 5 seasons, only 2 or 3. He'll make the team better this year because ...that's what he does. Makes everyone around him better, but more importantly, when Denver settles on a qb for th future, there is no one I'd rather have teaching him the position.
considering the "post 1990" rule and the fact the Titans are not an expansion team

Hard to pick. I agree with Army vs Navy at #1, but Texas vs. Oklahoma has to be #2. this makes me want to lean right, but LSU vs AR? really? I'm not sure that should be in the top 50 rivalries of all time. As far as history goes, TEX/AR has more history when both teams were in the Southwest conference.

Gotta go with Big. Peterson has built a powerhouse able to compete with far more talented programs.

Yes, he's with Dalls, where he should challenge Romo for the "He's really better than his results would lead you to believe...no really, he is" award.
hmm...
2011 VCU Rams?
2006 George Mason Patriots?
17th seed (at large bid) and 11th seeds respectivly, who beat the Nations top ranked team (along with a list of top ten teams) to make the final four in those years (Kansas and Uconn respectivly).
oh...as a boxing fan, I gotta mention James Braddock...

I had intended to join the TD, but for some reason am unable to post an argument. Maybe I pissed off an admin somewhere?

This is not a sports fan.
From this and the vast majority of posts by this person, what we have here is a Jr High drama queen, who goes into full insult mode the instant he/she's unable to articulate a logical argument.
This is google-stat geek who never played any sports, and has no understanding of sports or people, and is blithly unaware of how rediculous he/she sounds.
I assume a "dupe" is this site's term for a person with more than one account, and not the victim of a scam.
I will say this: I've never been to this site before last week, and for the most part have thoughrouly enjoyed the comments and arguments of the other fans here, and I intend to become a frequent visitor. Outside of the personal insults of this particular person who thinks he/she is a sports fan because he/she has a crush on Tony Romo, and continues to display a total lack of understanding of how sports and sport fans relate, I've been impressed by the ability of most here to articulate a reasoned argument even when poking fun at someone else's argument.
A very nice site, and I'm happy to be here.
Thanks, bro. Really nice job yourself. I stumbled on this site by accident when I googled a question about Stan Musial, and the TD's looked like a lot of fun, which they certainly are. I'm planning on jumping into a few.
Thanks to all the commenters and voters too. For the most part, there were a lot of intelligent, well-articulated arguments. Nice site.

Or the Sugar Ray that was too afraid to fight him in the second fight and spent every round running away until Duran just quit in disgust over fighting a coward and a clown?
Posted Tuesday May 15, 2012, About: Darren Woodson should be in the NFL Hall Of Fame
Would that be the Sugar Ray that he pummeled over 15 rounds, put into the hospital and took the title from?
Point noted
The perils of being new on the block, eh?
Al Davis does belong in the Hall of Fame, and Len Dawson on a slow day was a far better qb than Namath at his best.

Ok. I tried to play nice with you, but you're an idiot. You have no clue what you're talking about and instead resort to insults and out of context quotes to prove a point that has nothing to do with the argument. You're also the moron that doesn't understand the need for leadership on any team, and to top it off, You speak out of ignorance and seem to be proud of it.
Here's an idea: Try doing a little reading. There are a dozen books filled with quotes from all the players on those teams. I'd suggest maybe "Boys Will Be Boys" by Jeff Pearlman, or maybe "The Dallas Cowboys" 50 Years Of Football" by SI press. Both loaded with inside stories from the best players on those teams, and the coaches, including thier opinions about LEADERSHIP, and Darren Woodson.
Now...go sit in the corner until you learn to play nice with people who know more that you.
LOL. Well, we've discovered a few things:
C-C-C is going to defend Romo no matter what. That's fine. I'm not a Romo fan, but he's talented enough to win in the right circumstances (give him lots of help and LEADERSHIP).
Some people just like to throw out silly comments to see if someone else will get pissed off (which seems to work).
Anna was not as overrated as Joe even in the days when she WAS overrated (which are no more), and last:
A few people still don't get the difference between overrated and overhyped.
Overhyped is the creation of unrealistic expectations (Anna). Overrated means the inflation of accomplishments (Joe). That was the original argument. You want overhyped, look at Jeff George, Ryan Leaf, Tommy Morrison, David Clyde, Alex Ramos, ...all of them hyped to be "the next great one"...not one of them is rated as "great" today. Joe was average at best, yet he is "rated" as a hall of famer. No one in the hall is less deserving of the honor than Joe based on his actual performance.
Sorry...I was wrong. I accidently looked at NFC standings.
Still, it's obvious you are going to be blind when it comes to Romo. You didn't watch the 4th quarter collapses last year, or the year before, or the year before...or you're crush on the guy makes you ignore them.
Ok...Tony is the greatest ever and everyone else in Dallas sucks....happy?

and Charles was not the "leader" of that defense. By player accounts he was obnoxious, slightly ****, and tolerated only because of hs talent. Sort of a Terrell Owens type.
Posted Tuesday May 15, 2012, About: Darren Woodson should be in the NFL Hall Of Fame
Again, I'm only going by what the players said, I wasn't actually on the team, so I have to take them at thier word.
And absolutely, Charles is a HOF guy. Before Darren, ok. That doesn't keep Darren out.
