Lmao, an OSU fan insulting someone else's intellect? You went to OSU! A garbage school in the midwest, where nobody wants to live but doltish, semi-civilized rednecks who travel in loads to watch their team get embarrassed every year in a BCS bowl they don't deserve to be playing in. I stick by what I said - your comment reeked of arrogance and bitterness of the plethora of failures your team has faced, nothing more. Yes, the OSU coaching staff tends to be more conservative... what would you call the offensive playcalling of SC, if not conservative, I'd call it timid. Similar to last year's Fiesta Bowl, your team was in a great position to win - all they had to do was keep their opponent out of the endzone for the last few minutes, and they failed. Instead of taking it like a man, you throw your team under the bus under the delusion that if you had coached them, they'd have won. What OSU shows on the field against tough non-conference opponents proves otherwise. So no, OSU doesn't just 'lose,' they get beat by superior teams. You can either accept reality, or perpetuate the stereotype that all OSU fans are obnoxious, delusional crybabies.

I really, reallly hope you're right. I'll be there :)
Posted Tuesday September 22, 2009, About: Carroll backs USC's play-caller
OSU fans seem to think they "give" away every game they lose to elite teams as a way of rationalizing how they can still consider themselves elite. When every time you play a top notch program and lose, it gets old. You don't see the Aggies claiming they're elite, and they boast back to back wins over UT in '06 and '07. OSU's last few? 41-14, 38-24, 35-3, 24-21, 18-15. Not even a disappointed UT team and a true freshman at QB were enough to "give" OSU victories over decent opponents. Why? Because they're just not good enough.

Like most inbred SEC drones, you can't provide any serious counterargument, all you can do is spew garbage.
Posted Monday September 21, 2009, About: Carroll backs USC's play-caller
Let's look at those SEC teams glorious national championships, shall we?

2003: One-loss LSU plays OU after they lose their conference championship game 35-7, despite the fact that USC is No. 1 in both polls.. and win by a whopping 7 points. Both LSU and USC lost to 8 win teams.

2006: One-loss UF exposes an overrated (as time will tell) OSU team badly in the Fiesta Bowl. This same OSU team only beat one-loss Michigan by three points at home. Michigan goes on to lose 32-18 to USC.

2007: Two-loss LSU beats another garbage OSU team (this time w/ a loss) badly. Other two loss teams left out include WV, which destroys two loss OU 48-28, and USC, which throttles Illinois, aka the team that won at the Horseshoe, 49-17.

2008: One-loss UF beats one-loss OU by 10 points. Deja vu? One-loss UT also beats OU by 10, and win the Fiesta Bowl over OSU 24-21. Undefeated Utah throttles SEC runner-up 'Bama 31-17. One-loss USC beats up on one-loss PSU 38-24.

Wow, how impressive. And the rest?

2002: Undefeated OSU beats undefeated Miami 31-24 in 3OT, questionable call and all.

2004: Undefeated USC beats undefeated OU 55-19. The team they beat 23-0 the year before, Auburn, also goes undefeated and whines some for finishing third because of their cupcake non-conference schedule.

2005: Undefeated UT ends SC's 34 game win streak, 41-38.

The SEC wins championships b/c of image, the rest of the conferences win them on the field. Was there any serious dispute when UT won in '05? Or USC in '04? Or OU in '00? No.
Posted Monday September 21, 2009, About: Secret to Miami's early success
Right, I'm sure the 'Canes are really intimidated by the team that just a couple weeks ago lost a virtual home game to... BYU. You know, the team that got embarrassed at home by Miami's week one victim, FSU?

It'll be Miami's game to lose. We'll see how they handle the pressure.

Washington 24, USC 19. You heard it here, first.
Posted Thursday July 31, 2008, About: Pack offers Favre $20M to stay retired
Why does Favre even want to come back? Is he not yet satisfied with his NFL record for interceptions? He should quit while he's ahead. While I do think the organization has been a bit callous with Brett, it's not their job to run a team around him. When you say you're retired, you're retired, you can't expect Green Bay to drop everything they're doing just to accomodate one aging player, that's ridiculous. Favre won't be as effective anymore, and they know it.

So many Kobe haters, I guess it's true what they say: Jealousy breeds contempt

So many Laker/Kobe haters, and now the rapist thing. You're all just jealous at how some guys can get whatever they want while you just sit at home and play with yourselves. That's just the way it is. The girl was a slut who would've spread her legs for anyone with money and a little fame.
Oh, and Larry B, Kobe has as many titles (3) as Schilling so STFU.
Posted Tuesday June 10, 2008, About: Mayo in the mix for second pick?
EReed - It's not considered a bust when you know a player is going to accomplish nothing, as everyone knows about Lopez. Beasley, at 6'8", will still grab more rebounds than his taller counterpart, simply because he is a superior athlete, so why not take the far better player? Because a less productive player just happens to be taller? They do need a younger big man, but Lopez isn't him.
Posted Tuesday June 10, 2008, About: Mayo in the mix for second pick?
Because you can't teach 7 feet. That;s why. Both the Heat and the bulls need a center. Lopez is a difference maker.
Hllywd | 06/09/08, 09:27 PM

Shawn Bradley was 7'6", yet somehow I think that the Sixers regretted drafting a mediocre big man over future stars such as Penny Hardaway and Allan Houston, or even Sam Cassell, Jamal Mashburn, David Wesley, and Nick Van Exel. There are better players available, and as we learned in 1984, it is not always better to draft for need rather than to take the best available player.
Posted Monday June 09, 2008, About: Mayo in the mix for second pick?
Beasley is 6'8", not 6'7", and I've never seen a player more overhyped than Rose. Seriously, watch some of Memphis's games. He wasn't even the best player on his own team. If Beasley and Rose had switched teams, K-State would've missed the tourney and Memphis would've won it all. Rose is neither the best playmaker, nor the best shooter in this year's draft, and he's definitely not the best scorer.
Also, B. Lopez is almost a guaranteed bust. He'll take up some minutes, but he'll get knocked around by the more physical, athletic, and talented bigs in the NBA. Why waste such a high pick on a role player?
Posted Monday June 09, 2008, About: Mayo in the mix for second pick?
If Chicago or Miami take this kid, they deserve to lose the 60+ games that they will lose with him on their roster. He's not half the player Beasley is right now, and Rose has more potential.
Posted Wednesday June 04, 2008, About: Babcock rips Game 5 officiating
Babcock - Great coach, but no reason to complain yet. His team's played poorly since leaving Detroit after game 2, and they're still one win from winning the Cup. They're going to win, so there's no reason for Babcock to stoop to the level of Therrien "the Whining Pu.ssy" and sound off like this. Just get your team ready and finish them.
Posted Friday May 30, 2008, About: Rose: Beasley's better than me
Beasley is much better than Rose. Derrick Rose wasn't even the best player on his team, Chris Douglas-Roberts was. At the end of games, he was the guy making the big baskets, but NBA scouts don't like him because of his "ugly" shot. If it goes in (and 54% of the time it did compared to 48% for Rose), then it can't be all that ugly.
As for Beasley, the 6'10" PF could be a 20-10 guy right now. He's a great scorer, can hit his jump shots, plays decent defense, and led the nation in rebounding last year. He's better than Durant, and Durant averaged 20 pts and won Rookie of the year.

Bond 007 - Better to win by luck than by cheating.
Posted Wednesday May 28, 2008, About: Pens coach: Red Wings break the rules
Stop your b.itching, Therrien. Detroit is just that much better. Your team is going to lose, and they're going to lose bad.
Posted Monday May 26, 2008, About: Inside Heat's rumored Mayo interest
A little off subject, but why is Derrick Rose getting showered with such high praises while swingman Chris Douglas-Roberts isn't even projected to be a top 25 pick? I'm not saying he's better, or even as good, but CD-R was just as important to Memphis's run as Rose. As their leading scorer, he slashed his way through defenses with remarkable effectiveness, and even developed a more lethal jump shot. Perhaps what makes him most appealing is that the 6-7 guard can do something many NBA players can't - create his own shot by beating his defenders off the dribble. Memphis had the best backcourt in the nation because of both players, so I don't understand why he is the forgotten man all of a sudden. Personally, I'd see him fitting in well in Phoenix. On a team with a bunch of catch-and-shoot guys, he can give them that go-to scoring threat they desperately need late in games, and if they get a coach who'll let him run, it'd be an easy transition.
Posted Monday May 26, 2008, About: Commish not happy with NBA conflict
Versus is crap. Bettman should give the rights to some other broadcasting company, otherwise no one will get to see the games.
Posted Sunday May 25, 2008, About: Fleury's embarassing tumble
The Pens didn't lose because Fleury was bad, they lost because the Red Wings were better. Plus, when your team scores zero goals, it's kind of hard to win a game. Pittsburgh is just outmatched.
