50 yearfan, Money is the first color that presents injustice in the system, so i agree with you there. But in countless cases of similar natures, minorities get longer sentencing times than other non-color groups. Big Ben and Kobe are Green before anything esle so the normal system does not apply to either.

That said, I hope the truth is that Ben did not do this for his sake and for the woman's sake.

For people who think it is dumb to sign vick. After you get beyond top 20 starting QBs, what is reallly left but a bunch of proven losers and untested players. As a back up, vick, even if he is slower than he was, can still be exciting enough to watch and has proven he can win NFL games almost by himself. You guys really think that no one will watch the first game that he starts? T. Jackson goes down, and Vick is playing next week. It would be one of the most watched games. PETA can kick rocks.

Alot of things need to happen for a rookie to be successful. The main thing is time and coaching, but neither of which can give you heart. I have heard this guy is not the brightest, and mental confusing can slow down development. Truth is, he is really only getting this much press because of his draft status, if he were a third round pick he would be given a couple of years to get better.

And I totally disagree with anyone calling Troy Smith a bust, he was sick at camp last year, giving Joe the GO at QB. And Teddy is no bust, he was drafted to be a deep threat and special teams guy, all of which he is.

I own my own business and I choose to offer second chance programs to some people who are convicted felons. I cross a few who talk the talk but dont walk it, but there are some who genuinely appreciate a second chance, and know there are few out there for them. Some companies dont use my services because of that, but I never have let anyone tell me how to run my business. So i agree with you, that you that as a fan, you support who you want to support with your money. Just like any team that signs Vick there will be some fans like myself, who will support the team for making a choice to give a man a second chance. ultimately each business needs to decide

Being a good QB is about more than passer ratings. He is not as accurate as the top ten QBs, but he is on par with winning percentage. Drew Brees has killer numbers and QB ratings, but is still not a constant winner. I like Matty Ice alot, and think he is good for the Falcons, but he is or will be a top ten QB for years. But when it comes to backup QBs, Vick would be a nice fit.

PETA can kick rocks. I still dont get why the most profitable businesses in the world, The NFL, is afraid to tell PETA to F--- off. The man went to jail already, meaning he has been punished for his crimes. Who is PETA or anyone else for that matter to say what a man should be able to do after serving his time. Let the NFL and its teams decide if they want Vick or not. If no team wants him for what he has done, them he can only blame his self.

People may not want to believe it, but race plays a big part in this country's judicial system and media coverage. I dont think race is a valid comparison between Kobe's case and Ben's, because of the things RM20 already pointed out. Black, white, or whatever; if a women does not press criminal charges and waits a year and only wants money, it looks like a crap shoot of a case.

Like him or love him. Gruden had us at 9-3 with for winnable games left. THEN kiffins announcement destroyed the defensive morale. and the ship was sunk. But a half way decent coach who had the respect of his players could have beat Oakland to make the playoffs.

I have to agree. I think that ends most arguments that it was Dungy's team, and I have been quoted saying it before. Gruden was not a good developer of talent and not half the offensive genius that he was acclaimed to be. But Allen never got the guy the QB he wanted. And from what I been reading over the years he has never been a players coach, neither is Parcels. But winning voids any complaints from the fans about not being best friends with players. I think it was time though. We have not won anything since the superbowl. Making the playoffs and never getting out of the first round is not enough.

If he will miss the next 3-5 games, why not IR him and save the cap hit. This season is done either way, unless the Bengals can win 9 straight. And If I were Palmer, why comeback from a serious injury with nothing left to play for this season and risk farther injury when he can come back healthy next year for his new coach.

They would bring him back. They need the help and he already knows the system. He wont be out of football shape by missing 4 weeks if he works out. I just dont think Goody will let him back. Dallas really does not need alot of draft picks so losing for JJones is not an option with a team that is primed to win it all this year with the AFC's preseason top picks all struggling. NO BRADY, an injured manning, and LT not scoring TDs; JJones will try an means to win this wide open Superbowl race.
