I saw "Big Game" (aka "I choke in big games") Bob talking on ESPN the other day. He said the OU/UT game isn't a big deal (this year or any other) and that he told his team that if they keep playing hard, the outcome of that game will not matter.

Translation: The sooners don't have a prayer of beating Texas, so they HAVE to toss class out the window and ring up 60+ on all the garbage teams on the schedule. The BCS rewards the people who make the highlight real on ESPN and the only way to do that is to make lots of big plays against the garbage teams that have no chance of defending it. Oh, and crowding around the team's field-entrance-tunnel and taunting them while they try to come onto the field is great footage too. If OU can be the biggest **** in college football, everyone will want them to be in the NC game to hopefully (and most assuredly) watch them lose.

I think the Rangers just need to relax and make sure not to do any deal that hurts their future. Honestly, the fact that they are competing for a WC spot this year is just a sign that they are moving closer to their goal than they planned. The breakout year was supposed to be '10, when Feliz, Holland and Hunter had enough appearances under their belts to hit the starting rotation. Add Feldman and Nippert to that and you've got a solid rotation. They have a lot of young fantastic talent that they just need to keep working with this year and not worry about whether or not they make the post-season. Holland's shutout against the angels today just reinforces that the young pitchers are maturing faster than expected.

Next year will be a very good year, be patient!
