If Joe knows so much about football why is he not advising the coach rather than second guessing.
Posted Wednesday May 22, 2013, About: Eleven days later, top prospect decommits from LSU
Could not get any $$$$ (LSU does not buy players or give jobs to girlfriends) so he went on and will check out the Alabama schools. Auburn for the big $$$ and BAMA for $$$ and job for girlfriend that pays for education. Plus if you go to BAMA you get to play a crip schedule that has five teams with a won loss record like 16-42. But BAMA is going to add Western Kentucky. WOW. Guess they will take place of Tennessee if SEC allows that.

The inability of the Republicans to find a good candidate is the reason we've got such non-leadership in Washington now. There was a better candidate than the one that ran for re-election. We are now stuck with not only non-leadership but dishonesty in this president and his cabinet.
Oh, speaking of football Jason was digging his grave the moment he took the job because the Cowboys have the worst GM ever. That is why Sean Payton had no interest in the HC job.
Posted Saturday May 18, 2013, About: Ohio State AD wants Big Ten title game in Detroit
Speaking of title games, SI should post comments about the EASY road Alabama has taken over the past 10 years to get to the SEC Championship game and the BCS Championship. Their opponent's records are paltry and they should have been ranked down even when beating these patsies.
Take last season for instance, Five, yes, five crip games on the schedule: Colorado State 4-8, GA State 1-10, Chattanooga 6-5, Kentucky 2-10 and Tennessee 5-7. The won loss record is 19-42. Tell me how that provides a record deserving of getting to a title game. The SEC needs to step up to the plate and see that Alabama plays the likes of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina on some basis rather than yearly games with Tennessee and Kentucky. Saban may be a good coach but not a great one based on the records of the teams they have played over the past years and for years to come. He is basically calling himself a man but hiding behind his mother's skirts or wearing them.
I have seen posts where even Alabama fans are suggesting their team get a more competitive schedule so they get their money's worth when attending a game. Alabama reminds me of Nebraska of years past when they did the same thing, scheduled weak teams to look good.
No need to fire back BAMA fans because if you have a brain and know anything about football you know this is the truth and BAMA did not deserve to be in some of the championship games. SOMETIMES THE TRUTH HURTS!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted Wednesday May 15, 2013, About: Packers want Favre back in the family
Darn, football not in full swing and he we go with the Brett Favre stuff. Really, does he want to retire as a Viking. That would be good. They can post under his statue "Threw an errant pass in the flat losing the game to the Saints who went on to win the Super Bowl" Fitting.
I am a fan of Brett but get a life and move on.

The infections are really bad this day and age. My cousin had back surgery and after having problems with infections she is unable to walk. Bless her, she is such a sweet person.
Not a fan of the Patriots but hope he does have an eventual recovery.

The article states: Better days coming for minority hires? Does than mean that the NFL teams as well as NBA teams will have to hire a certain percentage of white football and basketball players?
Posted Monday May 06, 2013, About: Self mum on damaging McLemore report
The same rule should apply to football, right, Tricky Nicky. The Crimson Tide stole a Louisiana player by giving the young man's girlfriend a job in Saban's office if the player signed with Alabama. I dare say that is just as bad but for some reason the SEC and the NCAA don't want that rule. Seems they have some good feelings for Alabama because they will not stop the buying of players and the SEC forever gives the Crimson Tide the easier schedule in football. C'mon stop the cheating and make them play the likes of Florida or South Carolina during the regular season rather than Kentucky and Tennessee.
Posted Monday May 06, 2013, About: Conflicting reports on Abraham's retirement
When you are making the big bucks, save some of it for retirement, then when you get older (for the game) then you can afford to play for less for the love of the game. Once you reach a certain age you are not worth the big bucks and that is a fact of life.
Heck, wish i was 35 years of age and had his kind of money. I am over twice that and hoping to have enough money to get through retirement. The way our great government is giving away money to those who have not earned the free ride they are getting they have to screw the retired people who PAID for their retirement benefits. Just a little sidebar to players such as he can appreciate how good they have it.
Posted Monday May 06, 2013, About: Dolphins future 'bleak' in Miami
Amazing that an owner with the kind of money won't renovate the stadium or build a new one. Does he think he can take the money with him wherever he goes in the afterlife.
Certainly he does not expect the people to fund the renovations of a stadium he owns. Seems to me LA has already made their point that they are not interested in another NFL team. Where does he think he will go with his traveling show.
Hope it works out and the owner fesses up and renovates and does some good marketing to get fans to the game. The Fins belong in Miami.

Wanna get into the NFL then come to LSU. Wanna get paid now then go to one of the Alabama schools. Wanna get your girlfriend a free education, then sign with BAMA.

mediocre SEC offenses- what the hey are you talking about. Who has won the national championship for the past several years- SEC that's who. If the SEC offense is mediocre then how would one describe the other conferences offense. Oh, yeah, lots of yards in PAC-something but NO defense.
The Honey Badger and LSU defenses hung in there with BAMA and Texas A&M and that is why so many LSU players were drafted.
Wanna go to the NFL, come and play some hard football in the SEC and be coached by none other than John Chavis. Betcha Tennessee wishes they still had him.
Posted Sunday April 28, 2013, About: Report: Bud Selig rejected 5-year MLB extension
Just wish the NFL would pay off "Goody" Goodell and get rid of him.
We wait to see who the next team will be that is screwed by this commissioner all of the sake of making himself look good. What a weasel. Betcha those guys drafted threw away the photos taken with him at the draft party.
Posted Sunday April 28, 2013, About: Michigan AD defends raising student ticket prices
Sorry to hear of Jeremy Hill's latest problems as he is a great running back who had an NFL future ahead of him. Don' know the circumstances so only time will tell how this affects not only his future at LSU but also his future life. He was already on probation so should have been walking on eggs about getting into any real trouble.
If the other person started the fight and got his arse stomped then that is just what happens when you decide to take on a gifted opponent. For a fact some young men want to prove themselves by taking on a football player figuring they will back off so as not to affect their career. Pride gets in the way and this is what happens. Not sure this is the case but hope this works out for Jeremy Hill.
Posted Sunday April 28, 2013, About: Michigan AD defends raising student ticket prices
23% is pretty steep. I see big raises for top personnel at the school. He says the money is to be used on rec programs at the school so they are not making money off of the students. Getting the students to pay for what the school should pay for is making money off of the students. This guy should be selling refrigerators to the Eskimos.
LSU has been financing the rec programs with no increase in student's ticket prices. But the cost of the other tickets have gone up over the years. I agree that when the teams are successful then the cost of seeing the event will go up.

When I first saw the headline I thought they were talking about Nick Saban's tenure with the Dolphins.
That did not bode well for the fins either but that was some time ago.
Seems the media was short on stories so up came this one. Geez, I miss stories about those wonderful Jets.
