Uh, NO.
This whole "article" is really a moot point. Why would James leave what he has built in his HOME STATE to start all over somewhere else or essentially ride the coattails of someone else? If he were to go to LA, he would be doing EXACTLY that. Besides, I don't think the Staples Center is big enough to contain the two biggest egos in the game for a whole season or more.
Additionally, the LEAGUE would probably push a behind-the-scenes veto of any move such as this one because they make more money off Bryant vs. James rather than having them together. Bryant needs an opposite figure on a team in the east, and that figure is James.

This kid makes me sick. He's vastly overrated, and I will enjoy watching him get destroyed on a nightly basis by NBA level talent... whenever that ends up being.
"Going to Minnesota would have just complicated my life a lot. It was a risk and I didn't see it so clearly."
Translation?
I didn't get drafted by a large market team and because of that, I'm going to hide in Spain so that I wouldn't be ridiculed and derided on a nightly basis. Plus, by staying here, my weak game won't be exposed on a nightly basis by opposing NBA players.
"When the season ended, I entered the draft with the intention of going to the NBA," Rubio said Wednesday. "But some things happened that kept me from being ahead of the rest and I ended up No. 5, which I was happy with, but it didn't allow me the chance to go to the NBA. I tried, but in the end it wasn't to be."
Translation?
I ONLY wanted to go somewhere I could get immediate fame and notoriety, such as NY, LA, CHI, or any other large market. GMs saw that I wouldn't come if it wasn't one of those places and skipped past me. It's okay though, as those players picked before me were all better anyway.
"They could only put half a million into it, and I think that the deal with Minnesota had too many obstacles."
Translation?
I knew that they could only put in $500k, and since I never had any intention of keeping my word to play for free in order to come to the NBA, I had to find a way to make more excuses for myself instead of being an honorable adult and standing behind my word.
And, lastly, my favorite:
"I won't lie," Rubio said. "My objective has always been the NBA."
Translation?
My objective has always been to come and play in a major market city in the NBA and that's it. Unless that happens, I'm not coming.
Uh, not so much. Thanks though.
However, until it is PROVEN that Stoudemire is capable of putting up his usual numbers while wearing goggles to protect his eyesight, the Suns should wait no matter how whiny and ballsy Stoudemire gets.
While Rubio has plenty of promise, there's no telling just how well his game will transition to the NBA. Rubio has height for a PG, and that helps him. However, he's simpy NOT a good shooter and, unless he improves greatly, teams will then back off him and take away his opportunities to make plays. A PG should be the most complete player on the floor - and that is NOT Rubio. Five or six years down the road perhaps, but not now by a long shot. If I were the GM of MIN and had to decide between Flynn and Rubio, Flynn would easily get the starting nod.
