"Can Jordan lure LeBron to Bobcats?"

Uh, NO.

When I first saw this, I thought it was a joke. Hard to believe that Two Quarters' crew is as paranoid as he is. I'm surprised no one died.
Posted Wednesday November 04, 2009, About: Why LeBron may join Kobe in LA
Thanks. Good to be back, I suppose. :)

This whole "article" is really a moot point. Why would James leave what he has built in his HOME STATE to start all over somewhere else or essentially ride the coattails of someone else? If he were to go to LA, he would be doing EXACTLY that. Besides, I don't think the Staples Center is big enough to contain the two biggest egos in the game for a whole season or more.

Additionally, the LEAGUE would probably push a behind-the-scenes veto of any move such as this one because they make more money off Bryant vs. James rather than having them together. Bryant needs an opposite figure on a team in the east, and that figure is James.

Nice to see you, too. LOL
Posted Wednesday November 04, 2009, About: Why LeBron may join Kobe in LA
Considering just how low the cap will be for next season, I suspect that James will STAY in CLE. That's his opportunity to get the most money, and his presence alone has turned that team from also ran to contender. He'd be wise to entertain offers from would-be suitors, but it's not happening... least of all some nonsense LA pipe dream.

There is absolutely no way this nonsense idea comes to fruition.

Posted Saturday September 05, 2009, About: Knicks to make push for Rubio
The problem with this portion of your comment is that no other team wants the players the Knicks have to offer that are "garbage". If they did, those players would already be playing elsewhere.
Posted Saturday September 05, 2009, About: Knicks to make push for Rubio
Beyond playing in NYC? Nothing extra than MIN has at this point.
Posted Saturday September 05, 2009, About: Knicks to make push for Rubio
Sadly, this kid and his nonsense situation have received FAR more pub than either deserves. I would not be the least bit surprised to see the Knicks acquire Rubio's rights and then see him immediately turn on FC Barcelona in order to get over here before training camp begins. It just goes to show how utterly poor his character is to lead MIN on for so long, only to sign with another team in order to force his rights to be traded to a more desirable locale than where he's been drafted.

This kid makes me sick. He's vastly overrated, and I will enjoy watching him get destroyed on a nightly basis by NBA level talent... whenever that ends up being.
Posted Wednesday September 02, 2009, About: Rubio reneged on T-Wolves deal
Considering that Rubio said he'd do exactly that in order to come play in the NBA, I don't see how this is a problem. Honor your words, Ricky... unless you're not MAN enough to do so.
Posted Wednesday September 02, 2009, About: Why Rubio passed on NBA
There are some absolute cowardly gems in the ESPN story on this situation, all directly from Rubio himself. I've decided to run them through my BS translator, and it's pretty obvious that Rubio had no intention of playing in MIN at any time:

"Going to Minnesota would have just complicated my life a lot. It was a risk and I didn't see it so clearly."

Translation?

I didn't get drafted by a large market team and because of that, I'm going to hide in Spain so that I wouldn't be ridiculed and derided on a nightly basis. Plus, by staying here, my weak game won't be exposed on a nightly basis by opposing NBA players.

"When the season ended, I entered the draft with the intention of going to the NBA," Rubio said Wednesday. "But some things happened that kept me from being ahead of the rest and I ended up No. 5, which I was happy with, but it didn't allow me the chance to go to the NBA. I tried, but in the end it wasn't to be."

Translation?

I ONLY wanted to go somewhere I could get immediate fame and notoriety, such as NY, LA, CHI, or any other large market. GMs saw that I wouldn't come if it wasn't one of those places and skipped past me. It's okay though, as those players picked before me were all better anyway.

"They could only put half a million into it, and I think that the deal with Minnesota had too many obstacles."

Translation?

I knew that they could only put in $500k, and since I never had any intention of keeping my word to play for free in order to come to the NBA, I had to find a way to make more excuses for myself instead of being an honorable adult and standing behind my word.

And, lastly, my favorite:

"I won't lie," Rubio said. "My objective has always been the NBA."

Translation?

My objective has always been to come and play in a major market city in the NBA and that's it. Unless that happens, I'm not coming.

Uh, not so much. Thanks though.

Whatever, dude. You're probably that dillhole with the Lakers flag on his Civic that lives in my old aparment complex. No matter.

Oh, here we go... another bandwagon Lakers fan...
Posted Wednesday August 26, 2009, About: Stoudemire talks of leaving Suns
This is about money and pride. Stoudemire wants all he can get financially, and there's no limit to just how full of himself he can be. He can opt out of that last year, but I don't see it happening. Walking away from $17M and the league's expectation that the salary cap will be dramatically lower should give him a moment of pause. If he's smart, he'll wait and see what the Suns offer and use his leverage of asking for a trade to negotiate the best deal for him.

However, until it is PROVEN that Stoudemire is capable of putting up his usual numbers while wearing goggles to protect his eyesight, the Suns should wait no matter how whiny and ballsy Stoudemire gets.
Posted Thursday August 20, 2009, About: Stoudemire '50-50' on staying with Suns
The Lakers will not even come close to winning 70 games. Far too much is being made of the Artest signing at this point, and all this talk of eclipsing the Bulls' regular season record (or even coming close to it) is asinine.
Posted Wednesday August 19, 2009, About: Stoudemire begins road to recovery
Stoudemire has finally been cleared to begin workouts and individual play, but he's NOT wearing his goggles. A recent pic from AZ Central's site confirms it. Unless Stoudemire starts getting acclimated to the goggles by wearing them at all times when practicing, he's going to end up ditching them again and potentially risk losing his sight should he get smacked good again. I hope the Suns ammended his contract to reflect that he must wear the goggles in order to play and must keep them on.
Posted Monday August 17, 2009, About: T-Wolves still working on Rubio deal
Precisely. Despite the ever improving Euro league, it's just a different kind of basketball. The US and the NBA are simply the best in the world when it comes to hoops, and there's no questioning that. Period.

While Rubio has plenty of promise, there's no telling just how well his game will transition to the NBA. Rubio has height for a PG, and that helps him. However, he's simpy NOT a good shooter and, unless he improves greatly, teams will then back off him and take away his opportunities to make plays. A PG should be the most complete player on the floor - and that is NOT Rubio. Five or six years down the road perhaps, but not now by a long shot. If I were the GM of MIN and had to decide between Flynn and Rubio, Flynn would easily get the starting nod.
