Morse is an integral part of the Nationals lineup and if you look at the Cardinals model under LaRussa, it looks a lot similar to what is coming together now in Washington. Not to say that it will develop into a World Series run, but it has a repeat playoff type of build to it. Now, as for that Yankees picture, it is obvious that you would not pick up what is happening in the East very quickly. Let's look at the Phillies and Braves for instance. The recent strong years by either team has had strong pitching and streaky hitting at best to this point of the season. But by the end of August atleast 3 of the hitters you mentioned will be red hot! And it is often noted on Baseball tonight about hitting for average in July, and homerun dropoffs in June. we will see!
