RCR never had near as good of equipment as Hendrick does, and Dale won 6 championships in a 9 year span, and he didn't have the Chase to aid his cause.
The Marlins look pretty bad to me. Slowey and Lebanc pitched good games against the Braves, but there was no offensive support.
9 games in and Stanton stands at 0 homers and 0 RBIs because of his supporting class, and if pitchers in the NL have half a brain, Stanton will lead the Majors in walks by a country mile. Why pitch to Stanton when worst thing Polanco will do is hit a single?
Read the comment carefully, ties are out of the question. We're not changing the structure of the game. We're just discussing removing the points system and putting in place the common sense win-loss record determining the standings, not a points system.
To me, that's incentive enough to try and win the game, the team knowing they'll get nothing if they lose, but get 2 points if they win, and there's no possibility of a tie.

Braves
Broncos
What ever team is closest to Georgia, Nashville or Carolina I guess.
The loser of the 19 inning baseball game gets a loss, and they don't go around bitching about it.
What is so hard to understand about that?
Count a win as a win and a loss as a loss.
