I was first a swimmer, then a runner, and then a shortstop and pitcher.

I'm confused! Did you learn to swim before you learned to run? Or was this the order of your participation in the various sports? Your timeline is funky. Because if you claim to have done all this in that order then you spent very little time as a swimmer at a very young age. Quitting youth swimming in age groups when you're swimming a 25yrd race does not give expertise to opine on the difficulty of swimming events now.......Unless the SS and pitcher began with adult slow pitch softball leagues :)

Unhappy with Army v Navy not being #1 on Mr Monopoly's list, but at least he got the proper 5 in. LSU v Arkansas? What is that? And don't let them talk you into UGA v FLA either, just because it is a party doesn't mean it's a rivalry. USC v ND is still huge to those teams. When the players get up for the game as much as the fans no matter how their season is going, that is a rivalry!!!! And I'm sorry but these SEC games that have been listed don't have it. Give me Georgia v Georgia Tech, Oregon v Oregon State, Stanford v UCLA, Wisconsin v Minnesota any day before UGA v FLA or LSU v Ark. Win Mr. Monopoly!!!!

Gaffney = Branch. Not better. Numbers are the same. Being the first or second choice on a bad team doesn't mean you're better than the 4th choice on a great team. Just ask Robert Meacham, Devery Henderson, and Lance Moore. You're starting to convince me on Brandon Lloyd though.

We saw Gaffney for 3 years in Foxborough and he is not a game changer. His stats have improved since he left, but I see him more as a bench strength guy. Again, not a ton of 3 WR sets (the TE is the 3rd receiver split out typically). Maybe I haven't seen enough of Lloyd being on a team that crumbled in 2010 and shipped to exile in the Broncos' attempt to crash the Tebow train before it got out of the station in 2011.

Lloyd played most of last season with the Rams so I'll even give you that they translated to another system and weren't soley the product of McDaniels. But he has only had 2 healthy seasons out of the last 5 and is 31 years old. I like his yards per catch numbers at close to 15 and I think he is an upgrade over Branch, but I'm not going to hang my hat on a 31 year old receiver with a history of injury to improve my team. The Pats system doesn't use the 3rd WR much so Ochosynchno isn't really in the equation. Bringing in Jabar Gaffney; another 31 year old guy with similar production to Deion Branch isn't a game changer either. I'm a Pats fan, and while I definitely don't think they are worse, I can't say they will be better because of these guys.

Think JimJ lost me with Brandon Lloyd and Gabar Gaffney doing anything to improve the Pats offense. Leaning toward Un until someone confirms that there are two young talented prospects who also share the last names Lloyd and Gaffney that I don't know about.
