I have to say...this is quite ridiculous...I am a HUGE Kentucky fan, but I feel bad for both teams with respect to what has happened. It has to be so hard for these guys to play a heartfelt game without the presence of fans. The place looks like an absolute ghost town!!! Crazy stuff I tell ya

I have to agree. Tubby was a good coach and I do not begrudge him of that. My only beef with this whole situation is about people calling for Billy G's job already. I mean they haven't even given the poor guy a chance. Give it a rest people! Things are never immediate!

PoppaCat, you are right. We WILL be back. And we WILL reign supreme again. The majority of us DO believe in Coach G and will stand behind him and wait for things to be set right again in the world of basketball. GO BIG BLUE!!!

Hmm...Gillispie is a joke? I think maybe you should read a little bit more about this guys history before you go making comments as stupid as that. I do believe that he has turned programs around at two schools during his career. You just have to give a guy some time. Nothing is immediate. Nothing is foolproof. Everything is negotiable. As for Legion? He is free to make his own choices. If he chooses to leave Kentucky, the winningest basketball program in the NCAA, and go to Illinois then this is his choice. I just hope that he doesn't regret it later. NO team deserves a player as fickle as he.

Ok...so I definitely have to comment on this. I am a DIE HARD Kentucky fan. And while there are some Kentucky fans who are very impatient and very irrational when it comes to our basketball program, I am one who is ready and willing for a change here in the bluegrass state. Billy G is definitely the man for the job. He is an excellent recruiter and coach and is exactly what our program needs. Although they may not be having a good season this year, they will be strong again. Our coach has a great coaching style, and his refusal to start the seniors on more than one ocassion shows strength and determination. He is trying to make a point to these guys. He has a different style of coaching. The only problem now is that we still have players who suffer from the "me" mentality. Meaning that they think they are the only person on the team. Gillispie will turn this program around. All he needs is for us to stand behind him and cheer them on. He IS the man for the job and he WILL make a difference at this school. I welcome what is to come with this program and can't wait for Billy Clyde to bring in #8 in the near future. GO BIG BLUE!!!
