Mr. Steeler, you are correct. A defamation suit is hard to prove. You must prove wanton malice towards the individual who claims to have been harmed. Since the NFL is a private entity, it becomes even more difficult and since Mr. Vilma is, for all intents and purposes, for name and likeness, the property of the NFL, he has a difficult task ahead of him. The commissioner should stand firm.

No Deals. What will that do for future suspensions? These players get away with everything with little consequence. I say letthe suspensions ride. They were dirty, by all accounts. Stop crying, Vilma and take what is coming to you. I suppose we should allow the players to commit crimes, too, and just let them play. I SAY NO. NO PLEA BARGAINS>
Posted Monday August 06, 2012, About: Seahawks living with Carroll's three-headed QB
Let Flynn start and see what you have. You already know what you have with the others. LOSERS. Pete Carroll can't coach on the NFL level. He tried with the Jets, failed miserably. Went to USC, cheated, left before the proverbial dung hit the fan, crawled into the playoffs two years ago due to being in the weakest (still) division in Football. He doesn't get it. Put a 5'11'' (Maybe) QB in there and see what happens.
Posted Sunday July 29, 2012, About: Favre: No need to retire Packers jersey
The argument you guys are having about Favre and Starr is not well thought out. When Starr played, he called the plays the entire game. QB's then WERE the field generals. You don't find QB's like Starr, Gabriel, Tarkenton, Kapp, Tittle, Kilmer, etc who can call a game today. Manning might be the closest thing. (Peyton)

I always enjoyed Favre as a Packer and he is, IMO, by far, one of the top 5 to ever play the game at QB. He treated the Packers poorly by holding them hostage his last three years there and they did him b/c they unceremoniously let him go. They will retire his number and he will go on the ring of honor.
Posted Sunday July 29, 2012, About: Vick: Eagles have dynasty potential
Is this guy serious? They might be a dynasty if it was Dog Fighting! This guy is old news and a whiner. Talk is obviously VERY cheap in Philadelphia. The Eagles are probably the third best team (and that is iffy) in the East. Vick should just be quiet. He is practically illiterate anyway.
