Last time I checked, football is a team sport. It takes all of the positions playing well to be successful. Would Tebow have the numbers he has if not for a good O-line and a defense that gives them good field position? Same for Ingram or McElroy.
Argue great QBs all you want...it is STILL defenses that win championships. Bama rode a great defense to the title in 92. It is what has given their success the past couple of seasons. That is the reason that Florida, Bama, and Texas sit at the top. And TCU - which IMO is one of the most dangerous teams out there.
The game Dec 5 is going to be a clash between the two best defenses in the nation. It will be a hard hitting, brutal affair that will be decided in the trenches.
I am done with you. I can only take so much of stupidity. You have nothing to add to any discussion.
And that other nut has walked no walk. THE team he pulls for has. That makes them good (which I have never disputed), but doesn't mean HE has a clue what he is talking about. Of course, the same applies to you.
It is a sad fan that has to resort to hating on other teams because his team has not lived up to expectations.
When you can prove that you have a single clue about the sport you rant about, then come talk to me. Because otherwise your lack of intelligent comment leaves you exposed for the fool you are.
and sport I played for 14 years and coached from pee-wee to Div II for more than 20 years. so bring it if you got it.
BTW, if your dad was a REAL coach, with some class, he would be ashamed of your classless act.
Your score: F. You too are dismissed as just another loud-mouth buffoon.
I am willing to bet that you two football-Einsteins are rather used to receiving the "F" grade. Especially judging by your less-than intelligent writing content and substance.
Your score: F. You are dismissed.
Ok smart boy. Lets see if you even have a clue about football or if you are just the big mouth fool you appear to be: please tell me what are the read progressions for an OLB, in a 3-4, in a cover-2 scheme?
BTW, why hide your profile? Afraid mommy and daddy will find out you have been playing on the computer again?
and I agree thaiger. They can come from all camps. But it all gets decided on the field and would be a shame if both teams are not undefeated come November. That kind of excitement can only be good for both teams and the SEC in general. It is what SEC football is all about and what makes our conference the best in the nation - hands down.
the heck of it is, I acutally think that LSU is good team and that Bama/LSU will be a good game. But some of their fans (notice I didn't say ALL) can be the most stupid buttheads I have ever heard off.
Meanwhile, for all you haters, Bama is #2 for now. And undefeated. So deal with it.
And I do remember the days. So, now that LSU is a come-lately team, I know that soon they will merely fade back into the background after their small run is over. So in that respect it isn't like a rivalry game. A rivalry game implies that it will be competitive for many years to come. Sorry LSU, but your 15 minutes is about to be up.
Oh, and I love the Hat Man. So glad that you have him and we have Saban.
But to all of those LSU & Auburn fans who like down-rating the Tide and talk about how they can't wait to beat them: your time to find out will come soon enough. Patience.
Although, as a wise man once said: Be very careful of what you wish for, for you will surely get it.
Nice to read about all these LSU fans getting fired up early. Of course, instead of worrying about Bama they might do well to think about who is going to be the quarterback, how did Auburn (one of the 3 worst offenses in the league) manage to have them on the ropes till the final minutes, and what is going to happen when they run into the Gators. Still suffering from separation anxiety I guess.
Myself, I am looking forward to Saturday and lets see what Bama is really made of.
I agree also with him that the announcers are morons. And, yes, Musberger is a perfect example. And it is damn easy to second guess a call sitting in a booth with perfect hair and smarmy jacket and tie. It is a whole other thing to be on a sideline, noise blaring, coaches yelling, headset squawking and you have 25 seconds to make a decision. And I can guarantee you that there is not a real player in the world that would say "Screw the win, Let's play for the tie, Coach!"
I say kudos to the coach for the call and for the honest reference to the announcers.
