never understood why reid chose castillo as a defensive coordinator...the guy was an offensive line coach? sure he knew defenses in terms of anticipating and attacking them from the O side of the ball...but doing that and coordinating an entire defense are two diff things

I agree with you and DD, but it does seem as though Ryan has elevated his play this year, and Mike Nolan has also improved their defense considerably. That being said, Gonzalez does have a point- there will be no more questions about them "making history" and "will they slip up"- they can just line up and play ball

Marty was a GM/head coach in washington for the 1 year he was with the 'skins. with that said though, I don't think at his age and his history as a coach (choking in the playoffs) that he'd be material to be both coach and GM. only 2 current coaches have done that and been successful, bellicheck and andy reid. bellicheck has tom brady, so that's helped him hide the fact he's had no D for the last 3-4 yrs, and reid has never won a superbowl and is almost guaranteed to get canned at the end of the year

Rex Ryan, in the words of his own brother is full of ****. Mike Shanahan needs to be fired..3 years as a coach/GM and your record ain't no better than the 'ol ball coach himself, Steve Spurrier, or the "maroon and black" Jim Zorn. Not only does your coaching suck, but in the words of Bill Parcells you have "chosen the groceries to cook the dinner with" ie have had final say over personnel. Well let me tell you, what your cooking makes me puke..that 3-4 defense you forced through is in its 3rd year and on pace to be the first defense to give up 5000 yrds through the air. Ya got no recievers, O line, D line, linebackers or secondary. Please go retire to your $20 million mansion in Denver. kthnxbye
