Champ Bailey overhyped? I will say this, w/the number of injuries and the amount of defensive coordinators that has come and gone in Denver, Bailey wasn't the only player who's play has suffered. Shanahan was the architect of the offense that won two Super Bowls and the talk was that Elway's physical style of play wouldn't be successful in the West Coast system. Lets get one thing clear as well, the NFL is all about stories and Shanahan had his story told over and over and sadly, he began to believe it instead of changing his ways.

Feel free to root against Denver but best understand Culter was the better QB coming out from the combine and while everyone was hung over from that BCS classic between Young and Leinhart, that was the detail the teams that drafted them were looking at.

You see, this is the problem. Committ to a QB, identify to the team you have made a decision who will lead your team for years to come. This whole "QB options" really does no one on that team any good. Sure we understand that Chicago has a tradition of playing defense and running the ball, that was 20 years ago. Stick w/#18 and address the team via depth since Urlacher, Brown and anyone else of relevance may suffer an injury or two.

How about this concept Jets...build your own team! Farve and Lewis cannot help your dysfunction. Either draft a QB or trade for one (Anderson, Cassell). I'm tired of the Jets assuming their relevant in the pursuit of the Lombardi trophy. Last time the Jets were anything for discussion was well, you know that Namath guarantee. Before people even cared about football.

Draft quality players and keep them. Vilma comes to mind.

Maybe there is more to Farve than those 3 League Mvps and 1 Super Bowl. I mean playing in a small market where he was big fish and all, I guess this is what we will remember him for.

For those who think he was simply in a bad situation, he did throw 6 TDs as a Jet. Clearly, he may have wore out his welcome years ago.

I agree gregmeister but Floyd Reese who works for ESPN, the former GM for the Titans, should be considered for this position. I'm sure he could bring in a coach that can have the same impact that Parcells had w/the coach he brought on board.

Come back home to Porto Alegre and play for Gremio! Now that I have recovered from shots of Guiness and Jameson...he's not going anywhere. Last I checked these teams are stil run like businesses and he's the number 1 selling jersey. Hell my neighbor doesn't even know where brasil is and he thinks he's him.

Question is what teams are in the market for a quarterback after this year? Redskins jump to mind. Vikings. Dolphins. Tampa. Kansas City. Dallas. These are teams with quarterbacks starting for the first time or following up with QB's who took over the year before.

Resign the guy before you realize there isn't a replacement. Besides the offense is slowly being changed to 55-45 run oriented team to keep that defense off the field.

Take a page from the Giants and resign your guy for stability sake or your team will be in the list above for 2009 "need of a QB sweepstake"

Ok lets set things straight here. Laster year we saw Brees light up the scoreboard and bring something positive to a city still rebuiding. That's character. Culpepper and Moss were like an angry couple in public but management went for Culpepper and not Brees. Note to self: don't seek medical advise from anyone in Miami.

What did the Dolphins give up for Ricky Williams? Granted he gave two good years but Fielder was quarterback. Now explain how you replace the tight end that was let go? McMichael will be missed.

Don't know what everyone is angry at Culpepper for, management is doing more than dropping the ball. That thud is your welcome mat for years of futility.
