Alcohol IVs are a VERY bad idea...as in death is very likely because you're putting alcohol directly into your bloodstream.

I say KEEP Jon Jansen. He's a great right tackle and if he doesn't start can provide MUCH needed depth.

Actually we looked quite good in the first three preseason games (going 3-0). It's only been the final two preseason games that the "Skins have looked just awful" (as you put it) in which we went 0-2.

First: no player can be issued the number 0. Only numbers 1-99 are eligible (depending on what jerseys are retired or held until they absolutely have to be given out).
Second: A receiver can only be issued a number within the ranges of 10-19 and 80-89. So Chad Johnson could not be given the number zero.
KingRex | 08/29/08, 11:59 AM
That already happened once in New Orleans.
river1075 | 07/28/08, 01:15 AM
It's a habit that FAR too many people have.
remmsterr | 07/27/08, 04:38 PM
Actually Brett had been shaken up and yeah it was a blow out.
bigben68 actually predicts brett can win with the jets?? i guess it really only takes a keyboard to post here as actual football knowledge means nothing.
jackinatlanta | 07/27/08, 06:16 PM
Um, where did I mention ANYTHING about Brett Favre, the New York Jets, or any mix of the two in my previous posting? Hm? No, I didn't.
remmsterr | 07/27/08, 03:59 PM
Actually he broke his feet in, I think, Week 12 of 2006 against the Patriots. He pulled his hamstring the week of practice AFTER the Dallas game of 2007. He did something else too, but I can't remember. He can't stay healthy and he hadn't played well untill that Dallas game.
for that which to me gives players with long hair an advantage
jgh | 05/19/08, 08:03 AM
That was Larry Johnson pulling Polamalu to the ground and then yanking his hair after taking him to the ground that got the penalty called. Ricky Williams, back in 2003 I think, was tackled by his hair and the NFL rules state that long hair is treated as a part of the uniform.
jj730 | 05/13/08, 11:19 AM
Did anyone have doubts at the time? Why should the past be questioned when something happens in the present? You can't go back and change it....you can't go and replay those games.
jj730 | 05/13/08, 11:14 AM
Eh, let it go. They paid heavy fines for something that had no effect on that game and would have done nothing until a month or two later when they played the Jets again. People, at the time and even awhile after, were suggesting that the Patriots forfeit that game or lose all of their draft picks for the upcoming year or even have Belichick suspended. All of those are far too harsh compared to the crime.
jj730 | 05/13/08, 11:10 AM
It's all speculation by us, but I still don't see why people are all in a rage over a walkthrough being taped. Maybe it's just me, but this WHOLE taping 'scandal' should have disappeared after the punishment was given and paid.
gridiron | 05/13/08, 11:04 AM
None of the attention the taping has received is deserved. It should have ALL been over after the second week of the NFL season.
Big Ben68 | 05/13/08, 11:00 AM
Thanks for the insight but I'm talking about a yearly series.
Phillydave | 05/13/08, 11:04 AM
No problem. Just trying to give a justification for KP's slip up.
jj730 | 05/13/08, 11:01 AM
They could, but it requires more than a few hours of study and it also requires the ability to remember those formations, plays, etc. seen on tape, notice them in game, and apply any kind of audibles, play calls, etc. that had been planned during a short time of studying that tape. You don't have enough time to physical watch a 2+ hour walk through and plan out a definitive and effective plot against it. Plus, all you're seeing is an offense and defense playing in shorts and helmets basically going 25% as they just run through plays.
Phillydave | 05/13/08, 10:57 AM
Every team has a series against another team throughout history...Every team has some kind of record against another...
Big Ben68 | 05/13/08, 10:56 AM
Not completely true..
jj730 | 05/13/08, 10:57 AM
The majority of walk throughs are just a basic practice method of going over last minute things a day or two before a game. We do them in high school football...but taping a walk through isn't worth all the attention it has received...
Big Ben68 | 05/13/08, 10:53 AM
HA!

I highly doubt that...
