If I were looking to close a $100 million business deal and choosing between two corporations the actions of that company's owner's/CEO are extremely important. If you have one's CEO flying in from Russia to assure me in person the business is going to succeed, and the other CEO who's from the area sends his VP because he's off swimming with sharks it's just a slap in the face. Yes, you can get the same questions answered on the phone or video conference, but business is still about people and face-to-face contact is critical. Maybe Cuban needs off the reality TV circuit and back to Business School for a few years...
