Looking at draft history the past several years, most of the new players that have made a great impact in the NBA PLAYOFFS are:
2002 - 9th pick - Stoudamire; 23rd pick - Tayshown Prince.
2003 - 1st pick - LeBron James; 5th pick - Dwayne Wade.
2004 - 3rd pick - Gordon; 7th pick - L. Deng
2005 - 3rd pick - Deron Wiliams.
Note that only LeBron, the only first pick, makes quite an impression in the NBA. What happened to the rest of the players to be drafted first in the past several years? There is nothing wrong with lotto system; it's the back office that doesn't seem to know what the hag they're doing!
