Posted Thursday August 01, 2013, About: Phillies rebuffed Yankees' offer for Young
You don't just take anything for Lee. Come on dude as a lifelong fan you shouold know better then to say something like that. Lee has been the Phillies ace, and frankly we got nothing for him the last time we traded him, do we need another 6' 8 pitcher who can't pitch or a centerfielder who can't play I mean how the hell does that help us? How come you didn't mention Rollins? From what I understand Detroit wanted him and he told the club he wouldn't waive his no trade clause because he wants to be the Phillies all time hits leader....but hey lets trade Utley who busts his butt all the time and get rid of your best pitcher for anything. I will give you the Michael Young deal they should have made that take what you get and the pay the money. As for Ruiz I am stuck there he is a good defensive catcher who had one good year but if the Phillies kept him there has to be a reason. Maybe Tommy Joseph isn't as good as they thought and they are considering resigning him or maybe they think they still have a shot at the wild card and why trade him to another team in the wildcard hunt the Cardinals or maybe they think he is a better opiton then the other catchers in the minors. Either way no deals were made and again I don't totaaly disagree with your statement other thengiving players away for anything and if you were gonna sell that would have included trading Hamels and Brown because I think you could get top teir prospects for both.

Your comment about Darren Daulton who has major health issues shows your lack of compassion, intelligence and pure ignorance.
Posted Friday June 28, 2013, About: Phillies relutcant to move fan favorites
As for fan favorites being moved I have to agree if the price is right they would move anyone. I don't agree with that stance when it comes to Chase Utley. Bottomline Utley isn't the reason they are losing Utley can't make Howard and Rollins be more patient at the plate and he can't play 2 of the 3 outfield positions he isn't responsible for blown saves so why so much trade talk around Utley. I guess all the things I mentioned in my opinion make him a trade value, but what are you gonna get for him? The Phillies don't need a middle of the road prospect they need major league ready players and I don't think you get that for Utley straight up. The other reason I think trading Utley is he is to the Phillies club house what Brian Dawlins was to the Eagles the heart and soul and it would be bad for them to trade him or let him just walk at the end of the season. I don't brake the bank to re-sign him but I make a fair market offer to keep him. The Phillies need a power hitting corner outfielder and I just don't think they have what it takes to get one. We can't trade the farm they did that and now you see what they got.
Posted Friday June 28, 2013, About: Sixers GM denies coaching hire
I don't think this stragety works in the NBA....the #1 pick is pure luck I realize they have a better shot with more ping pong balls in but its not a guarntee. They need to attempt too rebuild this franchise, and you have to start somewhere Holiday is a good player but he isn't a superstar he isn't Iverson, he can't put this team on his back and carry them like AI did and by making the move you end up with 2 picks from the top 20 albeight it a weak class. I question the GM hiring and the fact that they didn't hire a coach prior to the draft more than the trade.
Posted Thursday January 03, 2013, About: Reid's pitch to Cards: I can fix Kolb
Didn't win a Super Bowl but played in more and won more playoff games then the Redskins during his time in Philly. I know I know you guys have 3 rings heard it before but what gives you the right to talk crap when you finally made the playoffs after what 15 years?
Posted Thursday January 03, 2013, About: Reid's pitch to Cards: I can fix Kolb
Hahaha like he fixed him in Philly what a joke! Andy you stuck it to us eagle fans you gave up on this season a long time ago and have the nerve to call around the league setting up your staff for next year why not take all the bums you hired with you if they were so great! You lied to the fans for a long time!
Posted Thursday January 03, 2013, About: Penguins-Flyers kicking off NHL season
If your a hockey fan you may hate Crosby but like most people who know a little something about the game you would love him wearing your teams sweater. I personally am a Flyers fan and would love to see him get smoked but I also think he is good for the game and when the Flyers win I don't want people saying its only because the Pansy didn't play.
Posted Thursday January 03, 2013, About: Baseball's worst Hall of Famer
So I posted the Gil Hodges comment and decided to go and look at his numbers. Not real impressive however only 1 player had more RBI's and HR's during the time he played.... Duke Snider a HOFer so how is it he is not a HOFer and George Kelly is? I would say if Hodges gets in someday so will Dale Murphy because again he played second fiddle to another HOFer Mike Schmidt!

I think we need to get Gil Hodges in before we put Tex in. Class guy but not a HOFer.
Posted Monday December 03, 2012, About: Fired Washburn had become a 'cancer' in Philly
Spags wouldn't come here because of the stupid wide 9 defense thats why Catsillo got the job. I mean hell Dick Jaron who has done a good job in Houston (I believe) was here he didn't want the job and why you ask? The Wide 9!
Posted Monday December 03, 2012, About: Fired Washburn had become a 'cancer' in Philly
They will wait he has earned that, its just a shame they have been so bad. Also if he goes now its Marty Morningway and he sticks too.
Posted Wednesday November 28, 2012, About: Wilson may be an ex-Giant after Friday
If I were the Giants I would talk to him about maybe excepting the role as a setup man which may prolong his career. I realize closers only pitch in certain situations and maybe not every night but the wear and tear on there arms can't be good. They face hopefully 3 batters and give it everything they have for those 3 guys. its like mashing the gas pedal on your car at every red light not good!
Posted Wednesday November 28, 2012, About: Wright's megadeal hits snag
I know its unlikely that they would trade him to Philly!
Posted Wednesday November 28, 2012, About: Wright's megadeal hits snag
I think he wants a guarntee that they are going to be competive, if they talk and he doesn't like what he hears then he doesn't extend and they trade him. Hopefully to Philadelphia, I am a Philly fan and two guys I loved as players that didn't play in Philadelphia..David Wright and Chipper Jones!
Posted Monday November 05, 2012, About: Phillies loading up to chase Upton
Hmmmmm. Amaro had gotten everything that was asked of him, time to move Charlie out not the GM. Funny comment coming from a Flyers Fan with all the years we dealt with Bob Clarke.
