Here the thing. This is the Los Angeles Lakers, a team with a fairly strong wallet and reputation. Seems like they should have no problem attracting coaches that they want.

This is why I am confused that he would be fired after 5 games. I'm not questioning why they are firing him now, im questioning why they didn't fire him at the start of the summer. If they fired him after 5 games they didn't think that much of him to start with.

If the Lakers were throwing so much money at their roster this year why on earth would they stay with a coach they obviously had very little respect for.

why????? They could have been jelling with their coach+team from the start of training camp. why on earth would they wait? I am utterly bamboozled!
