I think you're right about Oates, Slappy, he's seems solid and it takes time to get a good rhythm in with any coaching staff. Now just to get Ovechkin to wake up to himself or go home to mother Russia (don't laugh, he might get his knickers in a wad, and run home)

Volpatti and Wolski I can easily see elsewhere, but Ribiero could be a funny one, I would have a week ago said he would be likely to walk, but it all comes down to the incentives the Caps throw his way (and there is talk that it might be considerable). As for the rest, they're benchfillers I don't know what one might expect for Poti, but that could be another funny one too. As for Crabb? DL should get Ron to trade back for him for a couple of bags of pucks and a case of Molson...

I imagine there will be a few moves, not many, like a D-man here, and maybe a depth forward there, but I doubt (and I say this with trepidation) there will be many, if any, blockbuster trades before the deadline.

I may be proven wrong, but this year is different, because (cue the cliche) it's a sprint instead of the normal marathon. However. I just don't see it.
