Posted Thursday May 07, 2009, About: Kobe: Artest should not have been ejected
Just one question to ALL of you who think a physical series benefits the Rockets. Which team wilted when things got physical? Answer: the same team that won the game! BTW Kobe did not throw an elbow at Artest and it did NOT hit him in the throat. The video everybody keeps showing doesnt show ANYTHING like that. Heres the proof http://www.silverscreenandroll.com/2009/5/7/867885/ron-artest-kobe-bryant-and-w ayward?ref=yahoo

The Lakers just proved they are NOT the team from last year and they proved the Rockets are NOT the tough team people think they are (even if Ron "I cant control myself" Artest is on the team). Lakers in 5!!!
Posted Thursday July 17, 2008, About: Why Posey left the Celtics
Posey doesn't wanna play with Kobe and Phony. Nobody does. Besides win they get eliminated next year, Posey will be the first person Phony Phil would have thrown under the bus.
GhosTown | 07/17/08, 12:49 PM

Shut up, moron. I understand you are a Spurs fan but you can still TRY to have SOME objectivity. LA still has the best chance to win the west, especially with a healthy Bynum, considering they did it last year without him.
Posted Saturday July 12, 2008, About: Lakers offer Odom for Artest
Let's see him go somewhere like Memphis and win a championship.
bogeyphobic | 07/11/08, 10:47 PM

Lets see ANY "great" coach go to a S**ty team and WIN. It WILL NEVER HAPPEN. Haters should castrated. Try being a real sports fan and stop wasting everybody's time.
Posted Saturday July 12, 2008, About: Lakers offer Odom for Artest
Scapegoating ODOM is a racist **** move by Phony Phil.
GhosTown | 07/11/08, 02:39 PM
I think you have lost your mind. Also, it was not Phils fault that the team STOPPED running the offense when times got tough. That was a clear sign of a young team that panicked when the pressure was on. You cant blame Phil for the team not doing what they had done for 90+ games. Besides, 9 rings, is 9 rings.

but you cannot win a championship with Radmanovic in your starting line-up.
arejaydub Sept. 13,'08 | 07/11/08, 02:49 PM
The only reason Rad was starting was because of the injury to Ariza, who was starting prior to the injury. Rad was, and is, a bench player at best.
Posted Saturday July 12, 2008, About: Lakers offer Odom for Artest
Artest would give the lakers some needed toughness......
but they need a BIG BODY with toughness.
Artest guards the SF's out on the wings.......
he's not going to be banging for rebounds or swatting lay-ups away.
- he is a big name- but NOT want the Lakers need

No way this deal happens- anyway
it is stupid to trade within your own division
jgb | 07/11/08, 12:30 PM

If I remeber correctly-LA already has that guy and his name is Andrew Bynum. You are probably right, though. The deal will probably not happen. But as far as the interior presence-LA already has that covered.
Posted Saturday July 12, 2008, About: Lakers offer Odom for Artest
Drunk Eli is correct. It is MAN LAW-"I is the (wo)man" is an idiot.

Dfish
Kobe
Artest
Pau
Bynum

=championship

WHO WILL PLAY DEFENSE FROM THIS LINE UP... Did you see what Pierce did to Kobe in the finals....
I is the (wo)man

MAYBE ARTEST YOU MORON!!!! ARTEST would MOST definitely D Pierce up. Artest is more Pierce's size but is much stronger and more athletic than chubby Pierce.

plus he has real passion for the game....& thats what cost them against boston...
pgreene

Yeah, and his 11 points for the entire series cost them as well.

My comments were IN CONTEXT of what is being discussed. Clearly LA is strapped with money problems (while they can certainly go over the cap and spend whatever they want, it is presemptous to assume that they actually will). Given that, there is a good chance that the full contingent of players that performed so well last year, may not return . Also, its an open fact that other western conf teams are making moves to get better (NO, for instance, or Portland with a little experience). SA presumably. Therefore LA will have a tougher time. It is always easier to win, but much harder to repeat that performance.
ESPN | 07/10/08, 08:45 PM

In the context? Not sure what you mean by that.Whether they are strapped for cash or not, is beside the point. They can use the mid-level on Posey which doesnt count against the salary cap. To get Posey they will have to lose Sasha (which MOST certainly is an upgrade in my book) and they will probably go after someone like Kurt Thomas/Alonzo (for very little $-probably what they were hoping to get Ronnie for) to replace Ronnie. Essentaily, they will replace the guys they lose with veterans who can play D (and with Posey they will not lose the 3 point shooting of Sasha). So, its not like all is lost if they dont sign their reserves-there are other options out there and they WONT have to break the bank.
Open fact, huh? What has NO done? Extending Pauls contract is NOT what I would define as getting better (I know they are after Posey as well) adnd they have yet to resign Pargo. San Antonio has not done anything of real significance yet (Roger Mason is a decent addition but not a franchise maker). The bottom line for all those teams is that none of them have much cap space, if any. Portland, I will admit is a very talented team-but experience takes time and an off season is not the experience that counts. LA has back up plans for anything that can happen. I am sure they understood that there was a chance they were ot going to get Ronnie or Sasha back which is why they have contacted Posey. LA will be fine. It is going to be nice when they have Bynum at Center, Gasol at PF, Lamar at SF and with the available free agents on the market-LA will be mighty fine.

Are you a Spartan or a Laker ??? With my "little head" I can't figure it out. I know one thing though I think you meant Ainge - McHale is in Minn..
Neut | 07/10/08, 09:23 PM

****? Are you sterile or an idiot? I know exactly what I meant and meant exactly what I said-I am sorry that you are not bright enough to figure that out. However, my pity forces me to elaborate, Kevin McHale (the EX-CELTIC) was the other guy who made the deal w/ Ainge, trading Al Jefferson for Keving Garnett. THerefore, McHale will have nobody to trade to Boston in order to fill the gap to prevent the collapse of an old, veteran team. Understand now?
Posted Thursday July 10, 2008, About: Warriors hunting Lakers forward
The Lakers are just one or two players from going to the "bottom of the heap" again !!!
Kaycee3 | 07/10/08, 06:15 PM

And you pop your little head up in here-talking nonsense. Like I said-3 years till Boston is BACK in the lottery. McHale will have nobody to help bail out the franchise then. Besides, the 76ers/Cavs will own the East next year.
Posted Thursday July 10, 2008, About: Celtics holding line on Posey?
Oh, the "betting line", eh? If that was going to happen, it would have happened by now. Boston is not offering as much as everybody else because they have other free-agents they want to keep. As far as your "world champ" nonsense-sure they won the trophy this year (and they deserved to) but mark my words they will be back to being a lottery team in 3 years. Dont even think about them repeating either-especially after they let Posey walk (although there was never any guarantee he was ever going to resign with them-remember Miami. Now he wants a multi-year deal and Boston wont give it to him.)
Posted Thursday July 10, 2008, About: Celtics holding line on Posey?
he might
Posted Thursday July 10, 2008, About: Celtics holding line on Posey?
Yes, LA would love Artest but NOT for Kenny Thomas' 18mil contract as well. If they want Artest, they let Lamar & Artest play out the last year of their contracts and then sign him. I dont see them re-signing Odom anyways if he still is looking for big $ (14m +).
Posted Thursday July 10, 2008, About: Warriors hunting Lakers forward
Ronnie is a decent player but LA will not go that high for him. Nor should they.
Posted Thursday July 10, 2008, About: Warriors hunting Lakers forward
Man-Law!!!!
Posted Thursday July 10, 2008, About: Celtics holding line on Posey?
Even if LA makes the trade for Artest, why not get Posey as well? Besides, why would Sac trade with LA? I dont see that deal happening. LA will not take on Kenny Thomas' contract even if Sac would deal with LA.
Posted Thursday July 10, 2008, About: Warriors hunting Lakers forward
Tough year for LA? Why? Because they are going to lose Ronnie? Please. I like Ronnie but "immediate impact" C'mon, are you kidding me? I dont think Boston is going to resign Posey because they are not offering as many years as he wants. If either side was commited to making it happen the deal would have been done. LA should make the deal with Posey-not Sasha
Posted Thursday July 10, 2008, About: Celtics holding line on Posey?
and with the Spurs signing Roger Mason-I think they are probably out of the running.
Posted Thursday July 10, 2008, About: Warriors hunting Lakers forward
Ronnie will not get much playing time, so why pay another guy decent money to ride the bench? Who cares if he knows the offense if he doesnt play? Its not chump change when the tax for 2008-09 will be triggered at $71.15 million and LA's payroll is at $75.1 million for 10 players. Unless, they sign him for the mid-level they will have to pay more of a penelty but they will not do that.

Posey will be a Laker guantee.

TheLakersNation | 07/10/08, 08:56 AM

Yea, sure buddy
Hank (who's on my shirt?) Hill | 07/10/08, 01:00 PM

In EVERY article I have read which relate to Posey, LA is mentioned. They most certainly would want to obtain his services and they should.

Posey will be a Laker guantee.

With what money luxury tax
CEL | 07/10/08, 01:13 PM

I am pretty sure that LA is not that worried about the Luxury tax-since they are already over it with the guys they have under contract now. If they have to pay Posey more than the mid-level then they would have to pay more luxury tax.
None of the teams in the running have much, if any cap space. So if Posey is offered more than the mid-level it will be by some bottom dweller which he might not want to play for. Spurs, NO and LA dont have money to throw around-they all will be offering about the same $. Hopefully Posey will make the RIGHT choice and come to LA
