Mike Shula did not move Alabama backwards. He brought much-needed stability to the program. But, he didn't advance the program as much as was expected of him, either. Not the easiest place to learn how to be a head coach. That being said, he's been a good assistant everywhere else he's been. He might turn out to be a good OC.
