Keep Milbury in your back pocket to make fun of if Burkie is on the sidelines and you're bored of making fun of Bettman. Mike always says something stupid so lots of material to work with.
Thanks, no one hustles in the corners to dig out video clips better than you do, Canuck eh! Sorry about the DJ thing, it was an early morning post and I was off my game.
Music trivia: Former Argent guitarist/keyboardist Russ Ballard went solo and in 1984 recorded a single called 'Voices'. If you liked 'Hold Your Head Up' you'll like Voices. Maybe our DJ, Canuck eh, can find it, lol ...
Good to finally see a post about the Kings/Sharks series, yes, there is playoff hockey on the west coast too.
Vokoun stopped 35 of 36 shots in game 1 against the Sens for a .972 save percentage. Not bad. Appears he is the answer for Pittsburgh's netminder problems. So far.
Hey, I thought this thread was supposed to be about Luongo? Oh right, no one cares, me neither. Really wanted to see the Isles win at home to set up a big game 7 in Pittsburgh. Bummer.
They aren't. Sweeping the Canucks was like sweeping the porch, not exactly hard. Be surprised if they get past the second round, if they do it will be because of Niemi.
More trivia for those with time on their hands: They entered the NHL in 1967 as the California Seals and changed their name to the Oakland Seals half way through their first season. Strange but par for the course for this sad sack team. They then changed their name to the California Golden Seals in 1970. Oh, and they wore white skates, lol, ya gotta love that! Okay maybe not.
Everyone said the Canucks needed to get bigger, stronger, tougher, so last year Gillis addressed it by bringing in the hard-nosed Swede Sami Pahlsson. This year he addressed it by bringing in a smurf from Dallas, the diminutive Derek Roy. Meanwhile, he sent a true tough guy who could play, Aaron "Peppermint" Volpatti, to the Caps. Don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily think Gillis is a bad manager, however, I do sometimes wonder if he understands what big, strong and tough means.
Btw, The Province is a tabloid newspaper out of Vancouver.
