Ethier going 290/350/500 with 80+ EBH is extremely unlikely.

1. He's prone to trips to the DL, having logged 150+ games just twice in seven seasons. This impacts his counting stats like doubles and HR
2. Historically, players typically peak from ages 26-28 or 27-29. This looks like Ethier, who so far was at his most consistent during ages 26-28
3. He's 31 this year - not old, but if he gets 80+ EBH, it would be the best of career.. and that ain't likely. Not many break out years for 31 year olds - is really an outlier type player?
4. Over his career, his 162 game average is: 61 EBH, including 21 HR. He hasn't topped 150 games since age 27, so... don't bet on 80 EBH. It's not happening; or if it does, you break the bank at the Vegas betting shops
5. So far, he's topped a .500 slugging average twice in his career; you guessed it, at ages 26 & 27

But ok, pitchers and catchers are onboard in a couple of weeks, EVERYBODY is healthy and ready for their best ever year, so dream on about Ethier. Who knows?
