Why do so many sportswriters seem to think this is proper grammar? "Between" is a preposition and should be followed by the objective case, i.e., "him" not "he." Analysts on TV get it wrong all too often, too. After years of reading or hearing it, I've reached my tipping point. It's no wonder our kids can't speak properly. Come on, SI editors, get it right!
