It is an opinion blog right? You are entitled to your's just as I am entitled to mine.

I can assume because he continues to do exactly that, look the same year afte year, wild! His mechanics are flawed but they are coachable. He doesn't have some twirling motion, ala Willis or Mitch Williams where his landing spot or release point will alternate on every pitch. He simply is falling off the mound. Spring training should had corrected that. I heard Bosio is teaching him to throw a 2 seamer? Is that correct Kenosha? Geez, that tells me right there that Bosio is not a pitching coach. Why teach a 2 seamer? They are suppose to get guys to swing and miss. They are harder to control then 4 seamers and Marmol is having problems throwing strikes as it is.(Hands up in the air) Look, I by no means am a professional, never made it that far, didn't throw 95-96 either, but I did throw very similar to Marmol, so I can relate. If I ever started falling off the mound I simply reminded/forced myself to bring my whole body towards the plate/hitter/catcher. My foot should not be making a whole to the left side of the other pitchers pitching hole. During warm ups, if I was wildly to the outside than I would throw my next warm up pitches all inside to get my feel.(correct my motion on it's own) I would also try throwing somewhat over the top so I wasn't getting sloppy with my mechanics by falling off. Marmol looks like he's trying to make the pefect outside corner strike. The only problem is he falls off so much that he misses. Then he tries to come back with a slider and he'll miss again. Now he's 2-0 and doesn't know if he can throw that next fastball for a stike. He's lost. COACHING would have helped him. A change up would had helped him. At least forcing him to go back and work his mechanics. Marmol knows how to throw a fast ball. A 2 seamer is with the seams, "a fastball". No corrections or thinking about how to throw it. I'm dumb founded by this. But why should I be. It's not exactly like the Cubs are known for bringing in elite pitchers from the farm. I know Wood and Prior but they had very short injured starting seasons. Wood was fine with the Yankees, then comes back to the Cubs and is injured again. Something is flawed in Chicago....Sorry for the long post..:)

Also, Crean is finally starting to build a fence around Indiana and giving Kentucky even more exposure to the state would be detrimental to IU. Especially, in Indy where most of the elite recruits come out of, smart thinking to say no Crean. Kentucky also has a better shot at beating IU in the dome. Assembly Hall is a mad house for teams when IU is good. Wasn't Terrance Jones having headache issues when they played at IU this year? I think 1-6 shooting or something like that. It makes no sense for Kentucky to go to Assembly Hall and lose(IU's on the upswing) and it makes no sense for IU to want to play at a different venue(especially in Indy). Lose, Lose, Lose for EVERYBODY!

I want to blame Marmol a lot! But..being a former college closer, I blame everybody that is associated with him as a player. Nobody seems to work with the guy. He falls off the mound to the left on every pitch, his release point is never the same, he flies open on his delivery, he has never developed a third pitch to get lefties out(they tee off on him when he does throw strikes), he's lost confidence over the years and they keep throwing him out there in hopes he can figure it out. Frankly, I'm amazed he hasn't had shoulder problems yet. Managers/pitching coaches still coach in the MLB's don't they?

Oh, Tommy probably did what most ND fans wanted him to do-taking himself out of the starting picture at ND. Too bad, kinda sad it happened this way.

Van- 50, i'm pretty sure is a Syracuse fan. I didn't read all the posts on this thread but I'm sure he didn't state that he was. He's too ashamed to admit that the very thing he keeps ripping ND for(rape), is the samething that is STILL being investigated at Syracuse. Hypocrisy....? You are right though, the bashing of ND may have a simple order with 50 and Rockhead at the top. LA-Boy is fine at times, but when you act as he does and sling dirt...especially about USC, well, he goes into melt down mode-mass hysteria. It's quite interesting to take a hiatus from FN and watch the hilarious posts from time to time...

Same crap is this....same people rehashing the same lines about ND and its irrelevancy to college football society, the same terrible lines, the same responses, the same people, no facts and no conjecture. It has become a very mundane site to say the least.

Where have all the Domers been on FN? Gone...If I remember correctly, the last couple posts about ND left many clamouring for the ND faithful to respond to their idiotic responses. When they didn't appear...well, let's just say writing about fishing trips and pictures of giant ta ta's only go so far.

Please don't try to be condescending, it makes you look like a real a@##hole. Sandy and I have had our spats from time to time, so, yes, I know who he is. SU lives in L.A. or at least close to it.(Hollywood) Michael Moore scews facts and presents only what he wants to present to state his case.(SU) Which is what I was getting at, jokingly. Call it bad humor, or irony, I get it. Now, if SU is a bloated bovine-human hybrid originally from Flint, MI. That much I couldn't tell you. To understand your "frequency," I don't listen to prgressive/contemporary early 70's rock. So, if you want to indulge me on that, sure, go ahead.

Are you Michael Moore in hollywood? You scew what was actually written to better your own argument.

If ND did allow this, I think they would be competing for NC's every year, WHICH THEY HAVEN"T.

Nice try.....

You haven't been sleeping for the past 5 yrs have you? "The expectation of an ~18 year old kid being a primadonna is sad." Have you seen the signing day? Expect has nothing to do with it. That is the way it is now. I don't particularly care for it, but whatever.
Just because you are a primadonna doesn't suggest that you are a bad kid or will start trouble. He still has to make the grades. He still has to not have a criminal record. In this reguard, yes, ND is very different. Sorry, but they don't let just anybody in. I think our definitions of primadonna are quite different.

I appreciate your comment, my comment about AZ was aimed at 50 or River who was questioning my judgement and first hand knowledge of transfers in the state of Arizona. Which, it seems you agree does happen. I have not heard anything about his high school QB not wanting him or having problems with him. I'd love to hear it. If it's about him being a primadonna, that's to be expected. He is the 2 time or 3 time gatorade player of the year in AZ, also, he's a receiver. They are kinda kooky to begin with.

I heard and read from countless sources, media, and opinion folk like ourselves about why this kid is bad. The best answers people can come up with is he switched high schools, made a late commitment, which he has stated he would do from the beginning(Feb 21, also, late getting into recruiting his senior year), and didn't show up for his own presser to name his school. Which if the media, I'm looking at you Fox sports, would had reported like they should have when they were told Neal wouldn't make it, would have known that there was "another" death in the family at 2:30 am that same mourning. So if this is the best people got, sheesh, I like to look at your guys' portfolio. This kid may or may not step foot on the ND campus but I am not going to stoop to the level of ripping 17 yr old kids. Pretty petty and irresponsible if you ask me.
As for Arizona schools, yes it IS very common. If you haven't lived here or coached here, then I suggest you drop the doubts bc you have no idea what you are talking about. As some other person has already mentioned in another post about AZ and its transfers I coached baseball for 3 yrs here. We were ok, but low and behold we received two amazing pitchers(transfers), who actually had their parents pay for them to live in apartments by the school just to go here. We pissed off another kid and he wanted to transfer to another school, lied about living with his grandma and our varsity coach ratted him out. Wouldn't allow for the release. The parents actually bought a new house and moved so the kid would get PT. I actually quit coaching right after that. Oh, we went to the semi-finals that year. Football was exactly the sameway, I'd rather not get into more stories but it is "quite" fruequent. I was actually back in small town Indiana for a couple of months, talked to some former coaches of mine, they were steaming about two brothers that transfered to our schools rival because it was a better program. It is happening more than you think. Open your eyes or go talk to some high school coaches about transferring and the dirty tactics behind it.

For @#$% and giggles, which, I got....
Posted Tuesday February 28, 2012, About: Irish recruit withdraws from high school
Ah, now I remember why I left this site. I come back after a month hiatus or so and still the same crap..Stimulating... If you live in AZ, you would know highschool changing is as normal as drinking water. It's done frequently. Apparently, Neal was getting harrassed and wanted to get away from all that. He's now enrolled at another highschool as I type. For the academics part of it, Neal will be fine. Kelly has stated this much. As for scewing grades so Neal can get him in. ND isn't the SEC or Ohio St, they don't just let anybody in. Go ask Randy Moss that question or Anthony Standifer or David Perkins(at OSU) of this year's 2012 recruiting class. They didn't have the requirements and wanted to still go to ND. So, yes, ethics is still at ND. If ND did allow this, I think they would be competing for NC's every year, which they haven't. Until somebody has given factual knowledge that this kid is a bad seed(not for changing schools) then I would suggest to ease off the kid until then.
Posted Sunday February 19, 2012, About: Saban bombards recruit with 105 letters
I'm wondering about the next top kid. Does he get 106? What if he only gets 20 from Saban? Does he feel he's not wanted? Saban might have outdone his self. Or maybe he is going to go even more to impress the kids. Kinda like them trying to out do each other when choosing a school, three hats, rip off shirt and team underneath, a bulldog, Saban's wife, or Saban's wife with Kiffin's. Where does it stop?

Why only 105? Why not 165?
Posted Thursday February 16, 2012, About: Notre Dame a finalist for star recruit Neal
Hmm, this coming from a guy whose team hired slimey Steve Fisher. The same Steve Fisher from Michigans' Fab 5. Yeah, calling the kettle black.

As for trouble with Davonte and switching schools. I was in Phoenix 5 years ago and coached high school baseball at that time. This state was out of control with recruiting and kids switching schools yearly. This is nothing new to Arizona. It's now even happening in small town Indiana! Give me another "trouble" and then I might reconsider it. Until then, not buying it.

Little late on reading your last quote, sorry......
Posted Monday February 06, 2012, About: FSU 'forced' to sue West Virginia?
This is what I heard on another site from W.Virgina fans. It would cost a cool mil to cancel with Marshall and the other OOC game(James Madison I think). Finacially it makes sense to them. I also heard they would be playing 13 games in the regular season, who knows if that's correct, W.Virginia math, they say the NCAA doesn't allow it. Cancelling was the only option.

I liked what OT said with Boise taking WV's place on the schedule. Although Kellen Moore aka "the smurf" according to EWO, won't be playing. Plus EWO doesn't appreciate Boise's existence as a program. I think it would be a good game of measure for both teams. Sorry if I'm putting words into your mouth EWO, I'm trying to remember some quotes you had with another fan of Boise's. What about FSU playing BYU, Navy, or Air Force? A team that's still trying to figure out its schedule.
