1) Bloodyminded people don't know a damn thing about MMA, but saw Slice on YouTube and want to see him stand and bang.
2) MMA fans who are interested in seeing if it's possible to take a street brawler and transform him into an MMA fighter (which takes awhile).
3) MMA fans who hate Slice's guts and want to see him get his as* handed to him.
I doubt there are any fans that don't have an opinion of him one way or the other. Because of this, I suspect he'll continue to be a draw if he sticks with MMA; admittedly a draw for the wrong reasons, but one nonetheless.
As for me, I'd like to see him continue to fight. He shouldn't be main eventing, but there's no reason not to put him on a card, have him work his way up (if he can) and have people give you money. Too bad it sounds like he's giving up on MMA. I'd like to see if he can make something of himself as a real fighter.
As for Danica, I'm sure we could find more interesting things to discuss, as I don't know the first thing about NASCAR.
I also agree that losing Zim putting a hurting on Joe. Still, great manager for the Yanks. The right guy for that locker room. Offering him one year was a slap in the face. They had nothing to lose by offering him two. And don't say "money" because it's not like we can't afford it.
12 trips to the playoffs in 12 years (100%), 10 of them as 1st place in the AL East; 6 trips to the World Series (50%) resulting in four rings (33%), including 1998 where the Yankees won the most games in MLB history (114 regular season games and 9 more in the post); and total record of 1,173 wins over 767 loses (60%).
Jeez, what a bum.
Yeah, Fedor is an amazing draw for those with a deep interest in the sport. Still, I think Arlovski just got stupid. Flying knee? Oops. Still, he bagged $1.5 mil. Not bad when you get beaten by a guy who only got paid $300K.
