Notre Dame has been too panicky of late. They prematurely fire Willingham in order to hire Urban, lose him then scramble to get Charlie to save face. I hope they take their time this time to get a better coach.

Nobody wanted Leach last year. Louisville needs to take note. Myer knew what he was doing when he insulted Leach. We saw more evidence of Leach's problems earlier this season.

Good to hear Harbaugh spouting off. Last season Tebow was referred to as the 4th best qb if placed in the Big 12 and we saw the results. this is just what Tebow needed to hear.

Usually OU re-loads each year instead of rebuilding. Whether it's one of the other this year depends in part on how you view the loss of Bradford. I think it likely OU would not have had one point losses in those games had Bradford been at the controls. In any case, trashing Stoops is ridiculous.

The situation continues to crumble for TTU. Their season ends in embarrassment on the field, nobody wants to hire their coach, including TTU, and nobody wants their record setting QB.

The worse it was for Meyer to call attention to the way things were, then the worse things were and needed changing. The hazing that went on must have been serious for the press to remember it and ask about the changes.

I think Weis has solved all problems with Notre Dame with the increased emphasis on scheduling powderpuff. With the BCS rules favoring Notre Dame it makes no sense for Notre Dame to play a respectable schedule.

Like Kiffin Rodriguez is under tremendous pressure to produce. They both see dead wood which could be used to entice a recruit who could add to the program. If we are going to make such demands for success we should expect many coaches to leave no stone unturned in the effort to meet expectations.

Let the insensitive lowlifes fly the flag as I don't see how to stop them. But I support the boycotts of the state and wonder how many recruits go elsewhere not wanting to play under the flag. South Caolina was the first state to secede and Sherman made a point of stomping all over their capitol. I guess there are still some hard feelings about that.

It is true that someone returning ND to glory would be a savior. But when Meyer decided between ND, his dream job, and Fla, the best place to make his dreams come true, he made the correct choice. The ND job requires fighting with one hand tied behind your back as ND is unlikely to relax its academic standards. The regular faculty would be rebellion because you just can't lower the standards for athletes. Spurrier had an ego to feed and could only do so in the NFL. At SC he has also faced recruiting disadvantages and I suspect returned to college football without the same fire and intensity. Meyer may take the ND job, but I place no weight on Spurrier's comments. Another NC for Fla and Spurrier will not be on the same level as Meyer.

It's time to leave the Hood kid alone. At 13 you know it is wrong to molest a girl, but I don't think any 13 year old has a clue about the full implications. He got involved in something bad without realizing how bad it was. How long should he pay for it?

Let Cam go. Stealing a lap top and tossing it out the window to avoid capture does not suggest much brightness. Perhaps he will wise up if given another chance. Too much life ahead of him.
