Urban Lyer wouldn't be able to recuit in South Bend the way he can in Florida. Almost anyone can win in College Football if they get the best recuits. ND has not had a good recruiting crop in many years and never will again. I'm a Vols fan and I was extremely happy to see little jimmy clausen go to ND. We suffered through two Clausens' here with mixed results. Phil Fulmer is the only coach at a mojor program to have never beat CW.

If the NCAA has the power to ban college football programs from postseason play then the NCAA should have the power to take control of College Football and institute a playoff system like it does for the other 79 College sports.

Tennessee does not need to worry about coaches that have past ties with the Vols. That was Bama's problem for 15 years, they wanted someone with a "Bear Bryant" past. They sucked until they got Saban. If Tennessee get a coach with a Vol past it shoud be Cutcliff or Trooper Taylor. Otherwise go for Leach or Chris Peterson.
