Certainly, I hope he does make it back. However, the break did not heal correctly the first time and required more than the standard healing process.
I am a Pats fan but i just don't see his arm healing properly in time for this season and possibly longer. I suspect the Pats use their ends more than most teams so there is lots of pounding on two fragile guys. Hernie will not hold up for a whole season. Gronk and Hernie have arm, hip, and shoulder issues to start. They are human.

He is done. Hernandez is right behind with Edelman waiting in the wings.
Gronk and Hernie were great ideas but...
Hate to say it but it might be Tebow time, if he can remember the play from the huddle to the line.

Actually, I am a Pats fan. The Pats will survive. That is not at issue, but I doubt that Gronk and Herni will make it far into the season. Gronk will go because of the arm or the ankle. Herni with a leg injury. Regardless of how much muscle one puts on a body, the bones have to support it. In the case of these fellows, we will have to see just how their bones respond. I am not confident for these guys. Gronk is 6'6". That is a lot of exposure to pounding.

Gronk will never play a significant on the Pats' offense again. That arm is badly healed and will be vulnerable to the first hard hit or crash to the ground. Hernandez will not be far behind. They were good ideas but much too fragile to last more than a few games in '13.
