"NY is no better than GSW with all due respect. Both stink just as bad!"

Actually the dubs just beat the Knicks in NY, convincingly.

Bobcats get the better player (and when was the last time a contract played on the court) but this was a business deal.

Nothing changes until Chris Cohan ("Destroyer of Dreams") sells.
Posted Monday November 09, 2009, About: Maggette: Warriors in chaos
Seriously Maggette will be the first NBA player to wear a helmet.

And how does Corey help in this situation? Bad Porn (lots of shooting and penetration but ugly to watch) perhaps best exemplifies the dubs problems.
Posted Saturday October 17, 2009, About: Jackson: No way but out of Golden State
Actually there aren't teams lining up to take hold of a thirty one year old swingman owed almost $36 million (until he's 35) with a low shooting % (who still shoots a lot, even outside of strip clubs, where his shooting % isn't better), who has a history of going nutty, who doesn't do a great job of making his teammates better (and in fact will throw them under the bus to get what he wants).

The only person WhackJack hasn't blamed recently is himself. Natural born leader, no doubt.

No, just like Marbury, Sprewell, etc, some players vastly overrate themselves and the demand for their skill set.

Was that just in his head then?

Posted Tuesday November 25, 2008, About: Another Warrior wants out of Golden State
If Don Nelson doesn't develop talent I guess Tim Hardaway, Mitch Ritchmond, Paul Pressey, Dirk Nowitski and Steve Nash all kinda suck eh?

Coach is hardly perfect but in fact developing NBA talent is something he does quite well. What he can't do is grow NBA talent where it doesn't exist (say Patrick O'Bryant, or Marcus Williams).

And maybe the dubs should have fired Nelson, but he's the best coach they've had since the Warriors won the championship.

Cheers!

Cyborg you answered your own question.

If he can't get playing time on a team that loses two point guards, it's not because the coach is mean. He's looked pretty bad when he was on the court, honestly. No surprises about the trade request but the real question his agent should be asking is "who wants him?"

Matt Carroll and Nazr Mohammed?!? Have you ever watched a dubs' game?!?!? Curry would have a heart attack running out for the introductions - just no bloody way OK?

Now if we're talking Raymond Felton and Gerald Wallace...

Cheers!

Posted Wednesday November 05, 2008, About: Source: Ellis dared Warriors to void contract
Is Monta still an excellent basketball talent? That's the whole question really. How much of his speed and lateral motion he regains is legitimately in doubt. He tore up his ankle way worse than most sports injuries. I'm totally OK with the Warriors fining him; he's missing work because of a stupid mistake that occurred while partaking in a specifically excluded activity. Then he lied about it. Obviously Monta wasn't taking his new contract (and the responsibilities he agreed to for that $66 million) very seriously was he? He should get paid for that? Who expects that from their work?!? I mean he'll still get almost $8 million dollars this year, though it's likely he'll not be fully healthy all season; that's too tough on him?!?!?

But Rowell's overplayed his hand by leaving the situation open ended; a fine should have been conclusive, but by retaining the "right" to void the contract at any time, the dubs exec is playing double jeopardy with his leading talent. Not a very proper workplace vibe y'know? Sows the seeds of distrust.

For Warriors fans though it just seems like more of the same incompetent, indecisive and ineffective team management we've seen for decades. Is Bobby Rowell channelling the ghosts of St Jean and Twardzik? Are basketball fans by the bay doomed to more mindlessly numbing mediocrity?

Bloody hell!!

Posted Monday November 03, 2008, About: Source: Knicks want Harrington
The Knicks couldn't trade Curry, Randolph or Starbury for free parking, honestly. Zach seems at least usable on an NBA court, but so far every team that's had him couldn't wait to get rid of him. Perhaps it's because he still thinks basketball is an individual sport? And his Defense? Randolph couldn't stop a broken watch.

Harrington got parked on the 3 line because his inside game is incredibly inconsistent (ie he misses a lot of layups). He's a solid NBA baller with a decent contract, but for someone who looks like a ninja turtle he sure ends up in his shell at all the wrong times. What's he going to do for NY that he didn't for the Warriors, Pacers or Hawks?

How much money are the Knicks spending on inactive players this season anyhow? $30+K on Stephon and Eddie, with the fattest total payroll in the league. Nothing like paying top shelf prices for bottom basement quality eh?
Posted Sunday October 26, 2008, About: Warriors getting rid of Mullin?
Recover from losing Baron?!? I don't think the Clips will recover from getting him.

Yes with Mullin's record of signing such top tier talent as Dunleavy, Murphy and Foyle to outlandishly stupid contracts, he'll fit right in with the Knicks legacy. It's no coincidence that Mullin started making better decisions the moment Nelson showed up.

Cheers!

Unfortunately the NBA deserves lousy owners like Clay Bennett.
Posted Tuesday March 18, 2008, About: Will Nets call on GM Mullin?
Oakland may be the CA version of Flint, but it's still in CA, making it far superior to Flint, NJ or Brooklyn. Chris has gotten used to shorts in February (once you stop digging your ride out of your driveway it's difficult to start again) and you don't have to live in Oaktown to work in Oaktown y'know?

Anyhow who would you rather watch on a regular basis, the dubs or the Nets?

Staying.

Hey when did Roxalot become a Lakers fan anyhow? Give up on the Heat already? Or does his favorite team change with the W/L columns?
Posted Saturday January 19, 2008, About: Staples boo birds anger Lakers
Whatever - are you supposed to cheer for a career underachiever who always looks like he's having exploratory surgery when he's on the court?

And does Kobe really mean that peeps who are paying hundreds and thousands to watch them play (which keeps him fairly well paid) shouldn't let their negative emotions out when they feel someone is not exerting fair effort? Because that's some crazy advice for Kobe to be giving (he may want to try it himself sometime).

Sorry but if Kwame is so flustered by boos, maybe he should find career better in line with his sensitivities.
Posted Monday January 14, 2008, About: Why Wade may leave Heat
"Many believe his tactics shortened Patrick Ewing's career." HUH?!?

Patrick Ewing shortened Patrick Ewing's career; his lap dance to championship ring ratio just was never good enough (not to mention what like 3 total career assists).
Posted Wednesday December 19, 2007, About: Fans plannning Fire Isiah rally
Well the Knicks generate more revenue than any other NBA team I believe, so why bother actually being good when you can make tons of $$$ anyway?
Posted Wednesday December 19, 2007, About: Isiah's plea: Give me two weeks
MAN they're having a parade to fire his arse! I wonder if they'll have a big inflatable Isiah filled with hot air walking the streets of NYC with 'em? What part of sucking does Isiah not understand? How much more time does he need to make an even bigger mess?

And will he please trade David Lee to the dubs for Mickael Pietrus, as one final testament to his "skills" as GM? OH PLEASE!?!?!
