If JS is smart, he'll take his 4 and defend the Cup.
And P.S. Rontheking, the Kings wouldn't make the playoffs in the West if the ghost of Terry Sawchuck was between the pipes.
Carter has been a Randy Moss on every team he's played for, and after watching the way he dogged his way out of Toronto, I've never had respect for the way he carries himself ever since.
The Pats gave Samuel the tools to be a player in the league, now it's his turn to show his appreciation. Do the right thing, suck it up, and enjoy what could be a really good year for the Patriots. Unless you think you were a fluke last year, in which case hold out for the money, you'll need it when you're wallowing in Arizona.
After bolstering their defence with Harrison and solid drafting, they won it all. Deja vu all over again?
I wonder why this story would be of any interest to anyone who wasn't a Pats fan, and I've decided that any comment where alliegience to any other team than the Patriots of New England can hereby be disregarded.
What I'm wondering is what the problem is with Kaczur? How foolish is it to be on a team of this calibre and expect to get away with dogging it, especially after becoming a questinable starter? Man, if there was a time to sack up and earn your job, it's now, and he's blowing it. Have to question his reasoning on this one.
Belfour might be right about getting a starters job, but jumping on the scrapheap in L.A. might be his only option. The bottom line is, would a team rather develop a cheap, young goalie in their system than sign an expensive backup who hasn't really shown that he could be a positive influence in a supportive role. I think Belfour got away with being a jerkoff because he was putting up solid numbers for years, and being a Leaf pretty much means you're forced to be a jerkoff, but now that he's a back-up his antics just aren't worth the price tag or the headache.
Belfour is in no position to be playing hardball.
If he had received a major penalty on the play, with a game misconduct, I think one game would have been sufficient. Because he wasn't held accountable during the game, I think an additional game in the press box would have been a stronger, wiser statement for the league's top cops to make.
